¿De dónde viene tu apodo?
Where does your pseudonym come from?
Proviene de mi nombre real que es Sébastien. Cuando comencé a pintar, firmaba SEB, pero rápidamente, en 1994 exactamente, mi seudónimo se convirtió en SEYB. Era único en comparación con SEB, demasiado usado.
It comes from my real first name which is Sébastien. When I started painting, I was signing SEB, but quickly, in 1994 exactly, my pseudonym became SEYB. It was unique compared to SEB, too much used.

What motivated you to get started painting?
Era joven y la cultura hiphop llegó a Francia. Me identifiqué totalmente con ella. Al principio no pintaba, pero el graffiti era parte de eso, así que después de un tiempo lo intenté. Nunca paró desde entonces. A principios de los 90 comencé a pintar ayudando a los pintores de graffiti del equipo TOP, Shest (RIP) y otros, a completar sus letras.
I was young and the hiphop culture arrived in France. I totally identified with it. I did not paint at first, but graffiti was part of it so after a while I tried it. Never stopped since then. Beginning of the 90’ies I started painting by helping graffiti painters from the TOP crew, Shest (RIP) and others, to fill in their letterings.

What is your style?
Estuve pintando graffiti puro desde principios de los 90 hasta el año 2000. Esencialmente escribí mi nombre SEYB. Luego cambié mi estilo y comencé a pintar fondos.
I was painting pure graffiti since the beginning of the 90’ies until the year 2000. Essentially writing my name SEYB. Then I changed my style and started to Paint backgrounds.

Me parece una buena idea porque la mayoría de la gente que publicas viene del graffiti, como yo. Pertenecemos al mismo movimiento, y me gusta.
I think it’s a good idea because most of the people you publish come from graffiti, like me. We do belong to the same movement, and I like it.
¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?
Do you remember the first piece?
Sí. Mi primera pieza, por mi cuenta, fue en 1992 y fue un SEB. Lo pinté en un páramo al norte de París cerca de la Porte de Saint Ouen. ¡Había muchos terrenos libres en ese momento para practicar graffiti!
Yes, I do. My first piece, on my own, was in 1992 and it was a SEB. I painted it in a wasteland in the north of Paris close to Porte de Saint Ouen. There were many wastelands at that time to practice graffiti!
¿Cuál es tu crew?
What is your crew?
Pertenezco a varias crews: TOP, MAC, VMD, TNW, IKS y MCZ. Pero sin duda mi primera crew, mi primera familia, es el TOP. Me convertí en parte de ella cuando tenía 15 años.
I belong to several crews : TOP, MAC, VMD, TNW, IKS and MCZ. But without any doubt my first crew, my first family, is the TOP. I became part of it when I was 15 years old.

El graffiti ha cambiado mi vida para siempre. A principios del siglo XXI me convertí en pintor a tiempo completo. Aunque trabajo en todas partes del mundo, sigo pintando en los suburbios de París donde empecé hace más de treinta años. Aquí están mis redes sociales:
Graffiti has changed my life for ever. Beginning of the 21rst century I became a full-time painter. Even if I work everywhere in the world, I still paint in the suburbs of Paris where I started more than thirty years ago.
