Elegí mi tag de Nina porque era el nombre de un personaje de dibujos animados que me encantaba.

I chose my tag Nina because it was the name of a cartoon character that I love very much.

 

 

¿Qué te motivó para empezar a ser una escritora de graffiti?

What do you motivated to be a graffiti writer?

Siempre he tenido desde la infancia un gran amor por el graffiti, pero el empujón para empezar vino después con mis amigos del barrio.

I have always had since childhood a great love for graffiti but the push to start came after with my neighborhood friends.

 

 

¿Qué tratas de decir con tus graffitis?

What do you try to say with your graffiti?

En los últimos años me he dedicado a estudiar las letras y el estilo. Trabajar en grandes producciones para que el espectador entienda la belleza, el trabajo y la cultura que hay en las letras y en nuestra cultura.

In recent years I have dedicated myself to study of lettering and style. Work in big productions to bring the viewer to understand the beauty, the work and the culture that is in the letters and in our culture.

 

 

¿Cuál es tu estilo?

What is your style?

No puedo definir mi estilo. Trabajo demasiado en las letras y en la limpieza de mi graffiti tratando cada vez que sea innovador y original cada graffiti que pinto.

I can not define my style. I work too much on letters and on the cleanliness of my graffiti trying each time to be innovative and original in every graffiti that I paint.

¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?

Do you remember the first piece?

El primer graffiti es inolvidable. Fue en un parque de mi barrio me compre un spray por la tarde y me hice el boceto en casa de amigos el día antes. Esperé a llegar por la noche para comenzar mi primera pompa de graffiti rosa y con un color erika (En mi primer tag de graffiti era mi nombre real, jaja). Estaba tan emocionada y feliz al mismo tiempo. Hoy en día, cada vez que pinto, siempre estoy contenta de estar esperando el fin de semana. Desde el año 2000 el estilo ha evolucionado con el estudio y la dedicación.

The first graffiti is unforgettable. I was in my neighborhood park with spray bought in the afternoon and the track drawn my friends house the day before. I waited to arrive in the evening to start my first graffiti bubble pink and erika happy color (In my first graffiti tag was my name, heeh). I was so excited and happy at the same time. Today, every time I paint, I am always happy I’m looking forward to the weekend. Since 2000 the style has evolved with the study and dedication.

Where would you like to paint?

Me gustaría pintar en todos los lugares del mundo, pero la primera ciudad donde me gustaría pintar es donde nació el graffiti en Nueva York. También me gusta la escena canadiense, y tengo curiosidad por la escena en Asia.

I’d like to paint in all the places in the world, but the first city where I would like to paint is where graffiti is born in NY. Then I really like the Canadian scene, and I’m curious about the scene in Asia.
