¿De dónde viene tu apodo?

Where does your pseudonym come from?

Mi seudónimo viene de una canción de un grupo de punk rock francés de los 80 llamada «nuit apache» de los Berurier Noir. Escuché esta canción y tuve la idea de escribir «apache» pero con «s». Me gustó este nombre porque, para mí y para mucha gente, la comunidad «apache» representa a las minorías y personas oprimidas.

My pseudonym comes from a 80’s french punk rock band’s song called “nuit apache” by the Berurier Noir. I listened to this song and had the idea to write “apache” but with a “s”. I liked this name because, for me and a lot of people, the community “apache” represent oppressed minorities and people.

What motivated you to get started painting?

Siempre me ha gustado dibujar desde que era un niño. Empecé a hacer algunos tags en el colegio sobre los 11 o 12 años, alrededor de los 90, pero realmente descubrí el graffiti y este movimiento sobre el año 2000 porque hacía skate. Empecé a pintar algunos módulos de skatepark y otros soportes. Desgraciadamente, tuve una gran lesión en 2004, así que tuve que dejar el skate, por lo que desde entonces he puesto toda mi energía en la pintura.

I ve always loved drawing since I was a child. I started doin’ few tags at school around 11 or 12 years old around 90’s but I really discovered the graffiti and this movement around 2000 because I was doing skateboard. I started to paint some skatepark modules and other supports. Unfortunately, I had a big injury in 2004 so I had to stop skateboard so I’ve put all my energy into painting since.

Do you remember the first piece?

Sinceramente, no recuerdo mi primera pieza. No podría decir cuál es y dónde, pero sé que siempre he tenido el mismo placer de pintar. El mismo que tenía al principio. Sólo pienso en el presente y si me hubieran dicho al principio que seguiría pintando 20 años después, seguramente me habría reído.

Honestly, I don’t really remember my first piece. I wouldn’t be able to say which one it is and where but I know, I ve always the same pleasure to paint. The same I had at my beginning. I just think about the present and If you had been told me at the beginning i would still paint 20 years later, i would have surely laughing.
