Why is your tag «Undos»?

Empecé escribiendo Deso y todavia lo escribo y es así como aun me conoce gente ,tan bien utilizaba ese nombre cuando hacia la función de DJ así que quise buscar otro nombre para separar una cosa de la otra.Tenía un sampler Akai 2000xl donde tenía un botón en el que debajo ponía Undo, y Redo que servia para borrar el ultimo paso sin borrarlo todo o volver otra vez a ese fallo. Creí que era un buen nombre y adecuado con mi situación y junto a mi colega empezamos a poner Undo y Redo. Luego le puse una «S» por que no me gustaba acabar con «O» y se quedo en Undos.

I started writing Deso and I still writing it and is that’s how some people know me, I also used to use it when I was Dj so I wanted to look for another to separate one thing from the other. I had a sampler Akai 2000xl, it had a button under the one it was writen Undo, and Redo it helped to delete the last action without deleting everything or to return where the failure was. I thought it was a cool name appropiate to my situation and together with my friend we started to sign Undo and Redo. Then it put a «S» because i didn’t like the «O» and now is Undos.

¿Qué fue lo que te motivo para coger un spray y ponerte a pintar en la calle?

What motivated you to get started being a graffiti writer?

Cuando era pequeño, a mediados de los 90 una noche ví junto a mi madre un programa que hacían en TV2, Linea 900, ese dia el programa se titulaba «Pinto luego existo» e iba sobre el graffiti de aquel entoncés y aparecían diferentes escritores pintando y hablando de graffiti y de hip hop. Cuando acabó el programa mi madre dijo :-Vaya mierda más grande! y puso El precio justo, yo corrí disparado a mi habitación a intentar hacer aquello que ví en el programa. Luego junto con amigos del colegio firmábamos con eddings 800 de la escuela, y al poco le robamos al abuelo de la ferretería un spray-color rojo, y firmamos por todo el pueblo.

When i was child, in the middle 90s one night i saw with my mother a tv show in TV2 called Linea 900. The program was called «I paint, therefore I exist» and was about the graffiti back then, and they showed several writers painting and speaking about graffiti and hip hop. when the program was over my mother told me «what a shit!», switched to «El precio justo», and I ran to my room to try to do what I’d seen on the TV. I used to sign with some friends using Eddings 800 from the school, and we stole a red spray from the hardware’s and started signing all around the town.

What is your style?

Principalmente wild-style ,y si se puede,acompañado de algún personaje de series animadas de mi infancia .

Mainly wild- style, and if possible, accompanied by a character animated series from my childhood.

¿Qué tratas de decir con tus graffitis?

What you try to say with your graffiti?

No pretendo decir nada a nadie, ni dar ningún mensaje, ni critica social ni nada por el estilo. Simplemente trato de pasarlo bien mientras lo hago, rodeado de buena gente y si se puede tomar una caña después, y comentar la jugada, mejor.

I don’t mean to tell anything anyone, or spread any message, or social criticism. I just try to have a good time while I do it, surrounded by good people and we can have some drinks later and go over old ground.

¿Piensas que la sociedad acepta el graffiti?

Do you think that society accepts the graffiti?

Aceptan los murales, con temáticas y eso, pero no el graffiti en todas sus vertientes. Cada vez que pintamos a pie de calle siempre se acerca alguien y preguntan que por que lo hacemos y si nos paga el ayuntamiento o cosas así, luego viene gente mayor y nos dicen: – Los paisajes, los retratos están «mu bonicos», sois unos artistas, lo que no me gusta son los otros que hacen las guarrerías esas de las firmas. No entienden que podemos ser los mismos.

They accept the murals , with themes , but not the graffiti in all it’s aspects. Every time I paint on the street and someone always asks about that we do and if the government pay us or something like that , then more people come and tell us – Landscapes , portraits are «very nice » you are an artists, What i don’t like are the other ones who make that crap of signing. They dont understand we can all be the same ones.

Me parece genial, que piezas que a veces solo ve el pastor de tu pueblo, puedan ser vistas por todo el mundo gracias a internet y portales como “elrincondelasboquillas.com”.

I find it great, that some pieces which are sometimes only seen by a few ones may be seen by everybody thanks to the Internet and websites such as «elrincondelasboquillas.com»

Siempre me gustó, marcó e influenció la escena Barcelonesa de los 90 gente como los A3, 3RL, BZK, DTY, NHC , PH , OTP , STG , PDM ,SOF, TRS ,BTS,TGA ,TSK,ACME,..

I always liked , marked and influenced the Barcelona scene of the 90’s people as the A3, 3RL, BZK, DTY, NHC , PH , OTP , STG , PDM ,SOF, TRS ,BTS,TGA ,TSK,ACME,..

¿Nos podrías dar algún consejo para ser igual de bueno que tu en el graffiti?
Could you give us a piece of advice to be as good as you in graffiti?

Si realmente queréis ser buenos, sería adecuado no seguir mis pasos. Soy muy desordenado marcando, malgasto mucha pintura, puedo cambiar el color de el trazo después de tener media pieza trazada, lo que si puedo recomendar es que disfruten tanto como yo llenando su mochila de botes y yendo por ahí con sus colegas a pintar sin más.

if you do really wanna be good at it, you shouldn’t follow my footsteps. I’m very untidy marking, I waste a lot of paint, may change the colour of the stroke after having half of the piece drawn. What I can recommend you is to enjoy as much as I do filling your bag with cans and going out with your friends to paint just for the sake of it.
