Viene del significado de un sofá donde la gente puede sentarse cómodamente cuando ve mi mural.
It comes from the meaning of a couch where people can sit comfortably when viewing my mural.
¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar?
What motivated you to get started painting?
Al principio, empecé a pintar después de no poder trabajar por enfermedad. Y ahora, pinto murales para que la gente que los vea tenga una sensación de poder positivo. Nunca he querido transmitir ningún elemento negativo.
Originally, I started painting after I was unable to work due to illness. And now, I paint murals so that people who view them can feel a sense of positive power. I have never wanted to convey any negative elements.
¿Cuál es tu estilo?
What is your style?
Básicamente una plantilla. Y dibujo. La mayoría de mis cuadros son paisajes detallados, y también pinto retratos de mujeres japonesas que incluyen elementos japoneses. Todas las plantillas se recortan a mano y mis cuadros se componen de muchas capas.
Basically a stencil. And drawing. Most of my paintings are detailed landscapes, and I also paint portraits of Japanese women that include Japanese elements. All stencils are cut by hand and my paintings are made up of many layers.

Nuestra escena no es tan grande, así que creo que este tipo de experimento es muy interesante y una bendición. Esto se debe a que quiero mostrárselo a gente que no está interesada en el arte ni en los murales. Muchos niños y ancianos que no están familiarizados con el arte se alegran cuando ven mis murales. Eso me hace muy feliz.
Our scene is not that big, so I think this kind of experiment is very interesting and a blessing. This is because I want to show it to people who are not interested in art or murals. Many children and elderly people who are not familiar with art are happy when they see my murals. I’m very happy about that.

Do you remember the first piece?
La primera pieza tiene un arco iris que se convirtió en una pieza de mi serie. Cuando volví a mi ciudad natal, lo pinté y se convirtió en mi primer mural. Era una escena clásica de Nueva York. Me encanta la cultura clásica.
The first piece has a rainbow that became a piece in my series. When I returned to my hometown, I painted it and it became my first mural. It was a classic New York scene. I love classical culture.
