Where does your pseudonym come from?
Mi nombre es una mezcla de dos de mi nombres favoritos. Incluí también la letra Y, porque me gusta mucho la dinamica junta.
My name is a mix of two of my favorite names. I included also the letter Y, because i really like the dynamic together.
¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar?
What motivated you to get started painting?
Todavía recuerdo la primera vez que tuve la lata en la mano. No quería dejar de pintar. A través del contacto con un escritor de graffitis muy motivado y activo, pude pintar mi primera pieza. La sensación que siento cuando estoy de pie en el muro es indescriptible. Me siento libre, puedo expresar mi creatividad, puedo ser yo misma. Nadie me dice qué pintar ni cómo hacerlo; Puedo vivir mis ideas y deseos. Por supuesto, la satisfacción que siento después me motiva a continuar. Ya sea pintando, firmando o bombardeando.
I still vividly remember the first time I held the can in my hand. I never wanted to let it go. Through contact with a very motivated and active graffiti writer, I was able to paint my first piece. The feeling I get when I’m standing on the wall is indescribable. I feel free, I can express my creativity, be myself. No one tells me what or how to paint; I can live out my ideas and desires. Of course, the satisfaction I feel afterward motivates me to keep going. Whether I’m painting, tagging, or bombing.
¿Qué es lo que más te gusta del graffiti y lo que menos?
What do you like most about graffiti and what do you like least?
Lo que me gusta del graffiti es la libertad que te da en un sentido artístico. Para mí el grafiti es mucho más que pintar la pared con pintura en aerosol. Son los momentos con amigos y artistas talentosos, la oportunidad de viajar por el mundo, de desarrollarme personalmente, de conocer otras culturas del graffiti y de apoyarnos mutuamente. Especialmente en la escena femenina, es muy importante que se nos dé espacio para presentarnos, para asegurarnos un lugar entre los hombres y no dejarnos derrotar. Lo que menos me gusta son los egos que se hacen la vida difícil unos a otros en lugar de la oportunidad de disfrutar de la pintura.
What I like about graffiti is the freedom it gives you, artistically speaking. But for me, graffiti is more than just spraying paint on a wall. It’s the moments with friends and talented artists, the opportunity to travel the world, to develop personally, to get to know other graffiti cultures, and to support one another. Especially in the women’s scene, it’s so important that we have space to present ourselves, to secure a place among the men, and not to let ourselves be defeated. What I like least are the egos that make life difficult for each other, rather than the opportunity to enjoy painting.

Me siento honrada cuando mi arte y mi visión del mismo se publica. En el mejor de los casos, te motiva a pintar graffitis a tí misma o a cambiar perspectivas, estimular pensamientos e intercambiar ideas. Apoyo plenamente la escena del graffiti femenino y me encantaría poder motivar e inspirar a otras autoras con esta entrevista.
I feel honored when my art and my perspective on it are published. Ideally, it motivates people to paint graffiti themselves or to change perspectives, stimulate thoughts, and exchange ideas. I fully support the women’s graffiti scene and am happy if I can perhaps motivate and inspire other female artists with this interview.

Do you remember the first piece?
Pinté mi primera pieza bajo un puente rodeada de vacas, una experiencia verdaderamente de mi país Suiza! Pasé mucho tiempo trabajando en el primer boceto y estaba muy nerviosa por plasmar mi idea y visión en la pared. Como solo había pintado una pequeña pompa antes, la escala de la superficie, así como la duración y la habilidad requerida, me emocionaron muchísimo. Sin embargo, tuve el apoyo perfecto para motivarme. Después de esa primera pieza de graffiti grande, quedé enganchada. La satisfacción, la alegría y la curiosidad de querer siempre más me excitaron. No quise soltar los botes nunca más!.
I painted my first piece under a bridge surrounded by cows—a truly Swiss experience! I spent a long time working on the first sketch and was very nervous about putting my idea and vision on the wall. Since I had only painted a small bombing before, the scale of the surface, as well as the duration and skill required, excited me immensely. However, I had the perfect support to motivate and sustain me. After that first large piece of graffiti, I was hooked. The satisfaction, the joy, and the curiosity to always want more excited me. I never wanted to put the cans down again!.
