¿De dónde viene tu apodo?

Where does your pseudonym come from?

Mi apodo viene de cuando era pequeño y tenía una camiseta de la NBA con el nombre de Kobe Bryant. Después de muchas variaciones, acabé con la forma actual.

My nickname came from when I was a little kid, I had an NBA jersey with Kobe Bryant’s name on it. After many iterations, I ended up with current form. 

 

 

¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar?

What motivated you to get started painting?

A mi hermano mayor le gustaba el hip-hop; yo lo veía a él y a sus amigos patinar, rapear y pintar graffitis. Desde que era niño, compraba revistas de skate, que siempre tenían una sección dedicada al graffiti. Siempre me impresionaba mucho, al igual que el trabajo de algunos de los amigos de mi hermano. De niño también se me daba bastante bien dibujar, así que decidí probar y aquí estoy.

My older brother was into the hip-hop scene; I’d watch him and his friends skate, rap, and tag. Ever since I was a kid, I’d buy skateboard magazines, which always had a graffiti section. I was always really impressed by it, as was the work of some of my brother’s friends. I was also pretty good at drawing as a kid, so I decided to give it a try and here I am. 

 

 

 

 

¿Qué es lo que más te gusta del graffiti y lo que menos?

What do you like most about graffiti and what do you like least?

Lo que más aprecio de la pintura es la sensación de libertad, tanto durante como después de la creación. Ninguna otra actividad me proporciona esta sensación. Me encanta combinar colores y añadir nuevos elementos a mis letras. Además, me permite viajar, conocer gente de todo el mundo y compartir experiencias con ellos desde que era adolescente.

No me gustan demasiado los estilos «cargados» y «recortados», prefiero las formas más naturales y libres.

What I appreciate most about painting is the feeling of freedom, both during and after the creation. No other activity gives me this feeling. Im in love with the combinations of colours and adding new things to my letters. It also allows me to travel, meet people from all over the world, and share experiences with them since I was a teenager.

I don’t like too much «tired» and «trimmed» styles, I prefer more natural, freehand shapes.

Para mí, la oportunidad de mostrar mi trabajo en todos los lugares posibles es genial, así que sigue haciendo lo tuyo, es un placer.

For me the opportunity to show my work in every possible place its cool for me so keep doing your thang, its a pleasure.

Do you remember the first piece?

Fue en el año 2000, probablemente detrás de los garajes que había detrás de mi escuela primaria, y sin duda fue una mierda.

It was in 2000, probably behind the tin garages behind my elementary school and it was shittly as hell for sure.
