¿De dónde viene tu apodo?
Where does your pseudonym come from?
Mi primer tag fue Fucker (traducido como cabrón en español) y después lo cambie a KerOne, pero creo que 6 letras son demasiado en graffiti y decidi reducirlo. Desde finales de los 90s KERO es el tag que me ha acompañado en las calles.
My first tag was Fucker, and then I changed it to KerOne, but I think six letters are too many for graffiti, so I decided to shorten it. Since the late 1990s, KERO has been the tag that has accompanied me on the streets.
¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar?
What motivated you to get started painting?
Desde muy pequeño siempre he tenido el lápiz en la mano. A mediados de los 90 descubrí el graffiti, y poco después comencé a bocetear 24/7 y cuando tuve un producto aceptable, comencé a dar color en las calles.
En aquella época apenas había graffiti en mi área, internet estaba comenzando a llegar, mis fanzines de graff (la única referencia visual que tenia) eran copias en blanco y negro, nadie pintaba a mi alrededor y los sprays eran escasos, siempre solo en esta mierda…hasta hoy en día que vivo del muralismo.
From a very young age, I have always had a pencil in my hand. In the mid-90s, I discovered graffiti, and shortly afterwards I began sketching 24/7. When I had something acceptable, I started adding colour to the streets.
At that time, there was hardly any graffiti in my area, the internet was just starting to arrive, my graffiti fanzines (the only visual reference I had) were black and white copies, no one was painting around me, and spray cans were scarce. I was always alone in this mess… until today, when I make a living from muralism.
¿Qué es lo que más te gusta del graffiti y lo que menos?
What do you like most about graffiti and what do you like least?
Lo que mas la libertad que rodea el mundo del graffiti y este estilo de vida creative y divertido. Lo que menos los toys, que ademas no saben el significado del termino toy y viven su vida de toyakos pensando que los toys son los demás. Aunque con los años entiendes que lo que opinen y hagan los demás es totalmente secundario.
What I like most is the freedom that surrounds the world of graffiti and this creative and fun lifestyle. What I like least are the toys, who don’t even know the meaning of the term toy and live their lives as toyakos thinking that the toys are everyone else. Although over the years you come to understand that what others think and do is totally secondary.

Siempre es de agradecer que alguien quiera mostrar tu mierda, y dado que el graffiti o los murales están hechos para ser vistos, que mejor oportunidad que hacerlo en un sitio que visitan tantos writers y amantes del arte.
It’s always nice when someone wants to show off your stuff, and since graffiti and murals are meant to be seen, what better opportunity than to do so in a place visited by so many writers and art lovers.
¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?
Do you remember the first piece?
Obvio, lo primero ilegal fue en 1995, bajo un túnel oscuro en una calle sucia y estaba muy nervioso pero decidido…y cuando iba por la mitad, me pilló mi padre y me echo una bronca seria (una experiencia inolvidable, hoy nos reímos de aquello).
Obviously, the first illegal thing was in 1995, under a dark tunnel on a dirty street, and I was very nervous but determined… and when I was halfway through, my father caught me and gave me a serious telling-off (an unforgettable experience, today we laugh about it).

Este espacio se lo cedo a mis haters y a los que hablan más que pintan, y mientras ellos hablan y escriben…yo sigo pintando.
