I liked the letters as a kid ( not sure why) started writing them. In later life I found out I actually have inuk/inuit heritage.. bit mad that. 

De niño me gustaban las letras (no sé muy bien por qué) y empecé a escribirlas. Más tarde descubrí que en realidad tengo ascendencia inuk/inuit… Es un poco loco, ¿no?.

   

 

¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar?

What motivated you to get started painting?

Bueno, como la mayoría de los escritores, empecé en el colegio por diversión, además de cometer otros delitos, y decidí que era mejor seguir sin un duro que hacerme rico, así que seguí pintando graffitis. ¡Y aquí estamos hoy!

Well, like most writers I started in school for fun, alongside committing other crimes and decided staying broke was better than getting rich so carried on painting graffiti. And here we are today!.

 

¿Qué es lo que más te gusta del graffiti y lo que menos?

What do you like most about graffiti and what do you like least?

Me gustaron todos los aspectos, para mí el tagging es lo mejor, un tag bien hecho es fundamental. Pero también es esencial pasar de ahí a los throws, dubs y piezas. Lo que menos me gusta del graffiti es el ego, el ego y la forma de pensar de la gente que cree que por pintar un montón de graffitis se convierten en el próximo Tyson Fury y que los escritores legales son unos cobardes…

I liked all aspects, tagging for me is the best, a decent well crafted tag is fundamental. But, the stepping stones from that to throws, dubs and pieces is also essential. My least favourite thing in graff is the ego, the ego and the brain function that people think because they paint loads of graffiti that that makes them the next Tyson fury and that legal writers are pussys..

¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?

Do you remember the first piece?

Sí, mi primera obra legal a todo color fue en un club juvenil de un pequeño pueblo de Surrey, en el Reino Unido. La pintura era gratis, cortesía del club juvenil, y el resultado fue bastante mediocre. Cuando pinté mi primera obra, ya llevaba bastante tiempo en la zona, así que no tenía un ego muy grande y fracasé estrepitosamente… Di un paso atrás y dije el típico «ya está ahí» (¡frase típica del graffiti londinense!). Pasé por muchos estilos, muchos estados de ánimo y experiencias hasta llegar a donde estoy hoy, y sigo disfrutando mucho pintando paredes a todo color a gran escala con buena gente… principalmente mi compañera Birdie y mi equipo DMNS).

I do, my first full colour legal piece was at a youth club in a small town in Surrey, uk. Free paint from the youth club and very poor effort. I was up a fair bit around the local area when i painted my first piece, so I weren’t with that big ego energy and absolutely flopped.. stepped back and said the cliche “ its there init” (standard London graffiti phrase!) Transitioned through a lot of styles, lots of moods and experiences to get me where I am today and I still really enjoy hammering a full colour large scale wall with good people.. mainly my partner Birdie and my crew DMNS).
