¿De dónde viene tu apodo?
Where does your pseudonym come from?
Mi pseudonimo viene de la época de los 90 donde era influenciado por la música rap. Creamos un grupo de rap con unos amigos que no prospero. El grupo se llamaba Colombian dex no recuerdo que significaba dex pero cuando empece a hacer mis primeras firmas e intervenciones en la calle “año 1995” pintábamos palabras referentes a la cultura hip-hop, con el tiempo sabiendo ya que era el Graffiti y que se debía tener un tag eso en el año 1997 aproximadamente decidí tomar el dex de ese grupo, con el tiempo en el 2005 mas o menos le añadí una “S” al final para poder hacer las piezas mas largas.
My pseudonym comes from the 90’s where I was influenced by rap music. We created a rap group with some friends that didn’t prosper. The group was called Colombian dex I don’t remember what dex meant but when I started doing my first signatures and interventions on the street «year 1995» we painted words referring to hip-hop culture, over time knowing that it was Graffiti and that it was It should have a tag that in the year 1997 or so I decided to take the dex of that group, eventually in 2005 or so I added an «S» at the end to be able to make the pieces longer.

What motivated you to get started painting?
El movimiento hip – hop, ver murales pintados de agrupaciones de rap en mi localidad en los 90, me genero curiosidad por la cultura ademas que me gustaba el dibujo. Pero cuando decidí adaptarlo como forma de vida fue cuando vi la película beat street y me di de cuenta que el graffiti era de competición de dejarse ver, de tener reconocimiento.
The hip-hop movement, seeing murals painted by rap groups in my town in the 90s, made me curious about the culture, and I also liked drawing. But when I decided to adapt it as a way of life, it was when I saw the movie beat street and I realized that graffiti was a competition to be seen, to be recognized.

El primer contacto que tuve fue con el wild style en 93 desde ahí me cautivo, trato de hacerlo a mi manera y versátil.
The first contact I had was with the wild style in 93 from there I was captivated, I try to do it my way and versatile.

Agradecido que en este universo llamado graffiti en el que hay tantos representantes y referentes. Un medio como es el rincon de las boquillas me haya convocado para mostrar y contar algo de lo que hago me llena de orgullo.
¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?
Do you remember the first piece?
Ya había hecho algunas cosas pero la primera que puedo catalogar como pieza si la recuerdo. Fue muy preparada desde el boceto las pinturas el spot fue un lugar sin permiso en la noche. Todo salió muy bien fue con pintura industrial y las boquillas eran las de los tarros así que no se podia esperar una pieza muy estilizada hahaha pero esa experiencia fue lo que me hizo no dejar de hacer graffiti.
I had already done some things but the first one that I can classify as a piece if I remember it. It was very prepared from the sketch to the paintings, the spot was a place without permission at night. Everything went very well, it was with industrial paint and the nozzles were those of the jars so you couldn’t expect a very stylized piece hahaha but that experience was what made me not stop doing graffiti.
