¿De dónde viene tu apodo?
Where does your pseudonym come from?
Este Apodo se me ocurrió en mi infancia cuando no sabía nada de graffiti, vivía en Kamchatka y no tenía Internet, pero teníamos una red local entre casas y en el chat me llamaba DENDY (como gamebox antiguo). Después de mudarme a la gran ciudad de St. Petersburgo y empezar a pintar en las paredes, este nombre fue lo primero que me vino a la mente.
Nickname I came up with in my childhood when I knew nothing about graffiti, I lived in Kamchatka and I had no internet, but we had a local network between houses and chat in which I called myself DENDY (like old gamebox). After I moved to the big city of St. Petersburg and started painting on walls, this name was the first thing that came to my mind.

What motivated you to get started painting?
Cuando me mudé a una gran ciudad me sorprendió ver muchos graffitis en las paredes, no sé por qué, pero me inspiró y decidí que quería hacer lo mismo. Tenía muchos bocetos en papel y decidí que era hora de usarlos. Un nuevo sentido a la vida fue lo que me ocurrió, ya que estaba estudiando ingeniería en la universidad y no me gustaba. Después de eso empecé a dibujar activamente en 2012.
When I moved to a big city I was shocked to see a lot of graffiti on the walls, I don’t know why but it inspired me and I decided I wanted to do the same. I had a lot of sketches on paper and I decided it was time to use them. It gave me a new meaning to life, as I was studying engineering at university and I didn’t like it. After that I started actively drawing in 2012.

What is your style?
Es difícil decir que sigo buscando, pero siempre supe que me encantaba dibujar gente. Un día dibujé un retrato con las manos, me sorprendió el resultado, fue muy emotivo y expresivo. En ese momento me di cuenta de que era posible transmitir emociones profundas sin rostro. Así que empecé a dibujar manos y a experimentar. Ahora trabajo con realismo usando 3D digital.
It’s hard to say I’m still searching, but I always knew I loved drawing people. One day I drew a portrait with hands, I was surprised by the result, it was very emotional and expressive. At that moment I realised that it is possible to convey deep emotions without a face. So I started to draw hands and experiment. Now I work in realism using digital 3D.

Siempre me atrajo la idea de formar parte de algo grande. El graffiti tiene una comunidad que es única en todo su fenómeno. Es como que llegas a ser parte del mundo. Puedes conocer a gente de cualquier parte del planeta y estar en la misma movida.
I’m always attracted to the idea of being part of something big. Graffiti community is a unique phenomenon, it’s like you become a person of the world. You can meet someone anywhere in the world and be on the same wavelength.

And finally, anything you want to say?
Para mí el arte callejero y el graffiti es un camino donde conozco a mucha gente interesante, aprendo, desarrollo, trabajo. Pero a veces te cansas y en ese momento es mejor relajarse o elegir otro camino desconocido.
For me Street art and graffiti is a path where I meet a lot of interesting people, learn, develop, work. But sometimes you get tired and at that moment it is better to chill or choose another unknown road.
