Why is your tag Costwo?

En mi primer intento empecé probando varios nombres diferentes. En 1998 decidí pintar » cost2 » después de pintar durante 2 años, no quería tener un número en mi nombre, así que traté de escribir » Costtwo » lo que se veía bastante estúpido para mí, me decidí a quitar una de las t’s y así fue Costwo .

In my very first beginning i´d tried several different names. In 1998 I decided to paint «Cost2» after that like 2 years of painting, i dont wanted to have a number in my name anymore so i tried to write «Costtwo» what looks pretty stupid to me, i decided to delete one of the t´s and so it came to Costwo.

In meinen frühen Anfängen habe ich mehrere verschiedene Namen ausprobiert. 1998 entschied ich mich dafür «Cost2» zu malen. nach ungefähr 2 Jahren wollte ich keine Zahl mehr in meinem Namen haben und versuchte ihn auszuschreiben «Costtwo» was ziemlich bescheuert aussah. Da entschied ich mich ein «t» zu streichen und seit dem ist es Costwo.

¿Qué te motivó para empezar a ser un escritor de graffiti?

What motivated you to get started being a graffiti writer?

Empecé a pintar estilos en la década de los años 90, después de que un colega me dijo: » Hey he conseguido algunos botes, venga vamos a ir», fue el momento en que vimos películas como Wildstyle y Beatstreet. Ahora la atención se centra en los personajes .

I started painting styles in the early 90´s after a friend said to me » hey i´ve got some spraycans come on let´s go» it was the time when we saw movies like Wildstyle and Beatstreet. Now the focus is on characters.

Ich habe in den frühen 90er Jahren angefangen Styles zu malen nachdem ein Freund zu mir kam und meinte «hey, ich hab ein paar Spraydosen komm schon lass uns was malen» es war die Zeit als wir Filme wie Wildstyle und Beatstreet gesehen haben. Heute liegt mein Fokus auf Characters.

What do you think about the idea of showing your art in this web as “elrincondelasboquillas” to let people know about you?

Está bien para mí una buena manera de difundir mi pintura. Se siente uno bien al ser visto incluso en lugares donde nunca he estado antes. Gracias a Internet hay tantas posibilidades para comunicarse y para hacer nuevos contactos y amigos. Es un honor estar en tu página web .

Well for me it´s a good way to spread my painting. It feels good to be seen even in places where i´ve never been before. Because of the internet there are so many possibilities to communicate and to make new contacts and frienships. It´s an honor to be on your Site.

Für mich ist es ein guter Weg meine Malerei zu verbreiten. Es fühlt sich gut an gesehen zu werden auch an Orten wo man noch nicht gewesen ist. Durch das Internet gibt so viele Möglichkeiten zu kommunizieren und neue Kontakte und Freundschaften zu schließen. Ich fühle mich geehrt dabei sein zu dürfen.

¿Dónde te gusta pintar?

Where do you like to paint?

Prefiero pintar en lugares abandonados pero incluso en lugares muy frecuentados. Amo a pintar sobre hormigón viejo porque me encanta el contraste de la edad de la superficie y el brillo de la marca del color nuevo. Me apasiona viajar y si es posible pintaría por todo el mundo.

I prefer painting abandoned places, but even at high frequented Spots. I Love to paint on old concrete because i love the contrast of old surface and the brilliance of brand new color. i love to travel and if it´s possible i would paint all over the world.

Ich bevorzuge verlassenen Plätze aber auch hochfrequentiere Spots haben ihren Reiz. Ich liebe es auf altem Beton zu malen weil ich den Kontrast zwischen altem Untergrund und der Brillianz von neuer Farbe liebe. Ich liebe es zu reisen und wenn es möglich ist würde ich überall auf der Welt malen.

What is the style you use?

Pinto personajes fotorrealistas con el foco en quimera. Trato de expresar emociones, críticas sociales y personalidad a través de los animales , que se adaptan perfectamente a mí porque somos animales !

I paint photorealistic characters with the focus on chimera. I try to express emotions, social critics and personality trough the part of animals, that fits perfectly to me because We are animals!

Ich male fotorealistische Character wobei ich den Focus auf Chimären lege. Ich versuche Emotionen, soziale Kritik und die Persönlichkeit durch den Teil des Tieres auszudrücken. Für mich passt das perfekt weil wir Tiere sind.
