¿De dónde viene tu apodo?

Where does your pseudonym come from?

Comencé a pintar en el instituto, era muy fan de el anime y el manga, y todo lo relacionado con culturas orientales, por lo que me vino este nombre propio y del continente y así me quedé, no le di demasiadas vueltas jaja.

I started painting in high school, I was a big fan of anime and manga, and everything related to oriental cultures, so I came up with my own name and the name of the continent and that’s how I stayed, I didn’t think too much about it haha. 

 

 

 

¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar?

What motivated you to get starter painting?

Veía graffiti en los muros de mi barrio y me llamaba mucho la atención, siempre estuve muy ligada a la cultura hiphop puesto que mi padre tenía una tienda de música especializada en Rap y música negra y siempre lo tuve muy presente, un rotulador callo en mis manos y así comenzó todo. 

I used to see graffiti on the walls in my neighbourhood and it caught my attention, I was always very linked to the hip hop culture since my father had a music shop specialised in Rap and black music and I always had it very present, a marker pen fell into my hands and that’s how it all started.

 

 

 

¿Qué es lo que más te gusta del graffiti y lo que menos?

What do you like most about graffiti and what do you like least?

Me gusta casi todo lo que lo engloba, la sensación de libertad al pintar, el desarrollo del estilo, las amistades que se crean y comunidad entorno a él graffiti me parecen super puras.

Lo que menos me gusta son los problemas legales que acarrea, pero al fin y al cabo también es parte de este juego y lo acepto como es.

I like almost everything about it, the feeling of freedom when painting, the development of the style, the friendships that are created and the community around graffiti seem to me to be super pure.

What I like the least are the legal problems it brings, but at the end of the day it’s also part of this game and I accept it as it is.

What do you think about the idea of us publishing your artworks on our web «elrincondelasboquillas.com«?

Me parece interesante, y un honor, ya que es una plataforma que acoge a escritores de diversas partes del mundo y con estilos diferentes, me encanta poder darme a conocer y poder conocer nuevos escritores y aprender un poco de cada uno, creo que todos tenemos algo que contar.

I find it interesting, and an honour, as it is a platform that welcomes writers from different parts of the world and with different styles, I love to be able to make myself known and meet new writers and learn a little from each one, I think we all have something to tell. 

 

 

 

¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza? 

Do you remember the first piece?

 Si la recuerdo, fue en 2003,  tenía 11 años y llevaba tiempo practicando mis letras en papel y cuando conseguí juntar dinero para comprarme unos sprays bajé con una amiga del barrio a un descampado que había al lado de mi casa y a plena luz del día me puse a pintar, no tenía mucha idea de lo que estaba haciendo, y el resultado no fue el mejor, pero lo recuerdo como un momento súper emotivo 

If I remember it, it was in 2003, I was 11 years old and I had been practising my letters on paper for some time and when I managed to get some money to buy some sprays I went down with a friend from the neighbourhood to a wasteland next to my house and in broad daylight I started to paint, I had no idea what I was doing, and the result was not the best, but I remember it as a very emotional moment.

 

 

 

Y para terminar ¿algo que quieras decir? 

And finally, anything you want to say?

Me gustaría dirigirme a todo escritor que esté empezando, o los que ya llevamos más tiempo a seguir, las cosas cambian y por lo menos en mi ciudad cada vez es más difícil, puesto que hay investigaciones, multas, blanquean los muros y cierres constantemente… Pero creo que esta actividad va más allá de eso, es un acto de amor propio y súper desinteresado con el que no podrán acabar, que siga vivo siempre!!.

I would like to address all writers who are starting out, or those of us who have been writing for a long time, things change and at least in my city it is becoming increasingly difficult, as there are investigations, fines, whitewashing of walls and constant closures… But I believe that this activity goes beyond that, it is an act of selfless love that cannot be stopped, may it always live on!
