¿Por qué tu tag es Zeus?

Why is your tag Zeus?

Por allá en 1989 buscaba ansiosamente un nombre,mi primer tag era ESWE y no me acababa de gustar me acostaba pensando que nombre podría ser y una noche me desperté con un nombre en la cabeza ZEUS, me parecía un buen nombre.

Back in 1989 I was anxiously looking for a name, my first tag was ESWE and I didn’t like it. I was sleeping thinking about what name it could be and one night I woke up with a name in my mind, ZEUS.

 

 

¿Qué te motivó para empezar a ser un escritor de graffiti?

What motivated you to get started being a graffiti writer?

Mi hermano ya pintaba por lo menos dos años antes y algunos amigos del barrio también,entre ellos mi mejor amigo que era Dagon ellos dos seguramente influyeron bastante, huir de mi entorno, pero también me motivaba divertirme, coger un spray es muy divertido te hace sentir especial y te hace sentir libre.

My brother was already painting at least two years before and some friends from the neighborhood too, among them my best friend who was tagging with Dagon, these two surely influenced a lot, running away from my environment, but also motivated me to have fun, taking a spray can is a lot of fun, it makes you feel special and it makes you feel free.

 

 

¿Qué tratas de decir con tus obras?

What do you try to say with your artworks?

Creo que hay una lucha interna en mi desde siempre entre quien SOY y quien me gustaría SER, qué ha hecho mi entorno, mi familia y la sociedad conmigo y quien soy YO realmente, siento rabia y dolor, aún hoy el estómago me quema,supongo que quiero decir sé TÚ  mismo, no hay límites el re-nombrarte es el primer paso de la libertad es un acto de rebeldía es una decisión que tomas tú mismo,ahí comienza tu camino.

I think there is an internal struggle within me since forever between who I AM and who I would like to BE, what has my environment, my family and society done with me and who I really am, I feel anger and pain, even today my stomach burns, I guess I mean be YOURSELF, there are no limits the re-naming is the first step of freedom is an act of rebellion is a decision you make yourself, there begins your path.

What is your style?

Mi estilo es Wild Style.

What do you think about the idea of us publishing your graffiti on our web “elrincondelasboquillas.com”?

Siempre es bueno y me gusta compartir el trabajo junto a los demás compañeros, pienso no estoy solo en esto.

It is always good and I like to share the work with other friends, I think I am not alone in this.

 

 

¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?

Do you remember the first piece? 

Sí me acuerdo perfectamente era un ZEUS con plástica blanca y trazo negro de relleno habían unos rayos rojos no conservo la foto, recuerdo que mi amigo Dagon vino conmigo y me ayudó porque yo no tenia  confianza con los sprays.

Yes I remember perfectly it was a ZEUS with white plastic paint and black line of filling there were some red thunders I do not keep the picture, I remember that my friend Dagon came with me and helped me because I hadn’t confidence with spraycans.

 

 

 Y para terminar ¿algo que quieras decir?

And to finish, something you want to say?

Para mí hay que vivir en coherencia con  la vida con sus reglas, no como nos la quieren imponer algunos por sus intereses privados.

For me it is necessary to live in coherence with life and it is rules, not like some people want to impose it on us for their private interests.
