Where does your pseudonym come from?

Spatie En holandés significa el espacio entre dos palabras o la barra espaciadora de un teclado.

Buscaba una palabra en holandés que no simbolizara algo duro como los típicos nombres de los escritores de grafitti, pero que de alguna manera fuera relevante para el amor por las letras.

Spatie In Dutch means the space between two words or the spacebar on a keyboard.

I was looking for a word in dutch that was not simbolices something tough like typical graffiti names but was somehow relevant to the love for letters.

¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar?

What motivated you to get started painting?

Creo que fue todo un comportamiento rebelde y borracho con un amigo, estábamos saliendo por la noche así que después se ha convertido en un hobby serio.

I think it was all rebellious and drunken behavior with friend going out at night that has evolved into a serious hobby.

¿Cuál es tu estilo?

What is your style?

Me gusta y me hace feliz hacer letras. Mi graffiti no es agresivo y uso colores alegres. Siempre estoy buscando decisiones que otros no tomen en mi estilo, espero algún día hacer algo nuevo.

I like piece and happiness graffiti as I like to call it. My graffiti is not aggressive and I use cheerful colors. I’m always looking for decisions that others don’t make in my style I hope one day I’ll be on something new.

No estoy en contra de usar internet para apoyar la escena del graffiti. De hecho, encuentro muy útil que podamos tener una red mundial en un tiempo relativamente corto, haciendo cosas como viajar que hace que sea mucho más fácil. Vamos a ser todos amigos, ¿verdad?

I’m not against using internet to push the graffiti scene. In fact, I find it very useful that we can have a worldwide network in a relatively short time, making things like travel much easier. Lets all be friends right?

¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?

Do you remember the first piece?

Puede que recuerde cada pieza. Debido a toda la tensión, son recuerdos tan detallados. Cosas como el clima, los olores, los pies embarrados, las boquillas obstruidas o incluso las conversaciones borrachas con los amigos, son detalles que puedo vincular a las fotos de piezas que hice hace años. Pero mi primera pieza fue horrible.

I might remember every piece ever. Because of all the tension, they’re such detailed memories. Things like the weather, smells, muddy feets, clogged Caps or even drunk conversations with friends are all details that i can link to pictures of pieces i did years ago. Btw my first piece was horrible.
