¿De dónde viene tu apodo?

Where does your pseudonym come from?

Cuando vi los primeros tags, me di cuenta de que muchas personas usaban las letras S o la Z para el inicio de sus tags, también me gustaba que finalice en alguna letra que se pudieras dar algunas vueltas varios y para eso me agradaba ver la letra K final, ahí buscando llegue a Sirk.

When I saw the first tags, I realized that many people used the letters S or Z for the beginning of their tags, I also liked that it ended in some letter that could be given several turns and for that I liked to see the final letter K, there looking I came to Sirk.

 

¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar?

What motivated you to get started painting?

Siempre me gustó dibujar, pero en el año 95 empecé a escuchar rap, al ver los videoclips me di cuenta de que en muchos de estos aparecían piezas de Graffiti. Al tiempo me los comencé a topar en Santiago, ese mismo año ya tenía mis primeros bocetos, pero recién en el 96 hice mis primeras piezas con sprays.

I always liked to draw, but in 1995 I started to listen to rap, when I saw the video clips I realized that in many of them appeared Graffiti pieces. That same year I already had my first sketches, but it wasn’t until 1996 that I made my first pieces with sprays.

 

 

¿Cuál es tu estilo?

What is your style?

Dibujo mucho, siento que me tomo bastante tiempo para trabajar letra por letra, pero no lo siento Wild Style, creo que me gusta hacer letras agradables a la vista, ya sea, para la persona de a pie o los escritores y escritoras de Graffiti, me gusta que se lea fácil, pero que se vea el trabajo que hay detrás de este.

I draw a lot, I feel that I take a lot of time to work letter by letter, but I don’t feel it Wild Style, I think I like to make letters that are pleasing to the eye, either for the average person or the Graffiti writers, I like it to be easy to read, but that you can see the work behind it.

Me deja bien contento, ya que, han entrevistado a mucha gente que admiro y estar entre ellos es un honor. También es una muy buena oportunidad de mostrar mi trabajo al mundo, en especial a Europa, porque el 2022 estaré unos meses por ahí.

It makes me very happy, because they have interviewed many people I admire and to be among them is an honor. It is also a very good opportunity to show my work to the world, especially to Europe, because in 2022 I will be there for a few months.

 

 

¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?

Do you remember the first piece? 

No, al comienzo pinté mucho, pero nombres de amigos o de mi crew de esos años CB. Pero si recuerdo la primera pieza que hice como Sirk y fue en el 97, no tengo foto, pero recuerdo hasta los colores, el muro donde estaba, la persona con la que pinté (Drest).

No, at the beginning I painted a lot, but names of friends or my crew from those years CB. But I do remember the first piece I did as Sirk and it was in 97, I don’t have a photo, but I even remember the colors, the wall I was on, the person I painted with (Drest).
