Cuando empecé en 1990 firmaba Wip, y dibujaba un Gusano, en el año 2003 empecé a firmar Sabotaje al montaje, un manifiesto sobre el sistema en el que vivimos, alineados a los vientos sociales marcados por el mercado. Sabotaje al montaje es la acción de sabotear el sistema en el que vivimos y lo hago con acciones participativas en Barrios y siempre con colores.
When I started in 1990 my tag was «Wip», and i was drawing a worm, in 2003 I started to tag Sabotage al montaje, it is a pronouncing against the system in which we are living, next to the social market. Sabotage al montaje is the action to sabotage the system in which we live and do it with participatory actions in neighborhoods and always with colors.
¿Qué te motivó para empezar a ser un escritor de graffiti?
What motivated you to get started being a graffiti writer?
En canarias el movimiento llego a principios de los 90, con la cultura del Skate y el hip hop y poco a poco empecé a engancharme al pintar por las calles, en mi barrio Escaleritas en Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
Graffiti culture in the Canary Islands arrived in the early 90’s, with the culture of skateboarding and hip hop and I slowly began to get hooked when i painted on the streets in my neighborhood called Escaleritas in Las Palmas de Gran Canarias.
¿Qué tratas de decir con tus graffitis?
What do you try to say with your graffiti?
Normalmente tengo una obra realista y otra abstracta, desde principios del año 2000 empecé a retratar a personajes de mi barrio y de otros, amigos o personas que me encontraba en el camino, para mi eran los personajes ilustres del barrio y no los famosos que nos venden, así retrataba mi entorno. Con la obra abstracta puro color, explosión cromática al viandante, rompiendo con la arquitectura.
I usually have a realistic work and another abstract, since early 2000 i began to paint people of my neighborhood and other places, friends or people that I saw when i was walking around the neighborhood, for me they were celebrity people and the famous people of tv weren’t a celebrity , so i liked to paint my environment. trying to paint abstract work with pure color and chromatic color explosion, breaking the architecture.
¿Te importaria contarnos como es un día normal de la semana en tu vida?
Would you mind telling us how is your normal day during the week?
Soy autónomo así que desde por la mañana me pongo Música y empiezo a trabajar, diseñando por ordenador los próximos proyectos, prácticamente solo pinto muros, no hago obra como en cuadros, y si hago muy escasos, así que todo el día en el ordenador. Al mediodía paro y me hago la comida y sigo trabajando hasta las 8 o 9. Intento tener una vida tranquila y salgo a pintar entre semana algún muro en la calle o con amigos.
I’m self-employed so in the morning I listen music and I start working, designing computer upcoming projects, virtually i only paint walls, I don’t paint canvas, and if I paint canvas i do sometimes, so all day on the computer. In the noon i stop to work and i cook my food and after I keep working until 8 or 9 pm. I try to have a quiet life and i like to go out to paint with my friends a wall weekday on the street.

Siempre es bueno que te apoyen y más estando en las Islas Canarias, internet a los canarios nos ha ayudado a mostrar los murales y graffitis que se hacen aquí, asi que siempre es positivo mostrar los trabajos en internet, además estamos hablando de arte publico, arte gratis, arte para todos.

¿Dónde te gustaría pintar?
Where would you like to paint?
Bueno me gustaría volver a los estados unidos y pintar en New York con amigos que tengo allí, y también en Paraguay donde me invitaron este año al Latidosamericanos y no pude ir. Me faltan pintar dos Islas de las Islas Canarias, la isla de la Gomera y la del Hierro.
Well I would go back to the United States and painting in New York with my friends that they are living there, and also in Paraguay where I was invited this year to Latidosamericanos and couldn’t go. I haven’t been in two islands in the Canary Islands such as Island of La Gomera and Island of Hierro.
¿Cuál es tu trabajo real?
What is your real job?
Vivo de mis murales, llevo 26 años pintando y los últimos 15 años he estado viviendo solo de los murales, solo de esto me dedico las 15 horas diarias para poder pagar las facturas, El arte en Canarias es complicado y vivir de esto casi nadie se lo cree, es con mucho esfuerzo pero poco a poco y con constancia las cosas van saliendo, pero con mucha dedicación.
I am living painting murals, I am painting for 26 years and i am painting murals the last 15 years, only I work 15 hours per day to pay the bills, Art in the Canary Islands is complicated and if you want to live painting nobody can believe you, it is with great effort but slowly and steadily things are developing, but with a lot of dedication.
