¿De dónde viene tu apodo?
Where does your pseudonym come from?
En principio tenía otro nombre, aunque siempre he tenido varios. Puño se me ocurrió un día sin más, me parecía un tag muy político, street punk, macarra y que me representaba mucho. Es el tag que más años llevo escribiendo y que no creo que vaya dejar de escribir.
At first, I had another tag, although I’ve always had several. Puño just came to me one day out of the blue. It seemed like a very political, street punk, thuggish tag that really represented me. It’s the tag I’ve been writing for the longest, and I don’t think I’ll ever stop writing it.
¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar?
What motivated you to get started painting?
El graffiti me gusta desde que era un niño muy muy pequeño, de hecho cuando era así de pequeño, me iba con mi padre a recoger al trabajo a mi madre, solo por pasar por un puente que iba de plaza España a Gran Vía, donde había unos platas de Nova, Pike y Robe, que los tengo grabados a fuego. Ese estilo simple característico de España me enamoró. Luego por suerte para mi, el poco graffiti que había en mi pueblo, más allá de tags, estaba en mi colegio, un chico que vivía en mi calle los hacía (años después me enteré de que era él) un tal Zooki. Todo eso me influenció muchísimo, empecé a hacer tags en el año 1994 y en el 1999 me puse ya a pintar en serio, cuando conocí a Mostar por el 2001, que fue cuando se convirtió en una necesidad vital.
I’ve liked graffiti since I was a very young child. In fact, when I was that young, I would go with my father to pick up my mother from work, just to cross a bridge that went from Plaza España to Gran Vía, where there were some pieces by Nova, Pike and Robe, which are etched in my memory. I fell in love with that simple style characteristic of Spain. Then, luckily for me, the little graffiti there was in my town, beyond tags, was at my school. A boy who lived on my street did them (years later I found out it was him), a certain Zooki. All of that influenced me a lot. I started doing tags in 1994 and in 1999 I started painting seriously. When I met Mostar in 2001, it became a vital necessity.
¿Qué es lo que más te gusta del graffiti y lo que menos?
What do you like most about graffiti and what do you like least?
Me gusta mucho la paz mental que me da, es como terapia para mi, y también las buenas amistades que me he encontrado a lo largo de los años, los viajes… Lo que menos, los egos, los rollos autoritarios de king del Burger King, las machiruladas de fife y la movidas de rapero que digo yo, jajaja, y sobretodo la despolitización de la gente.
I really like the peace of mind it gives me, it’s like therapy for me, and also the good friendships I’ve made over the years, the trips… What I like least are the egos, the authoritarian attitudes of the Burger King king, the male chauvinist behaviour of fife and the rapper stuff, ha ha ha, and above all the depoliticisation of people.

Como persona que hace un fanzine de graffiti, me parece una iniciativa guay, siempre es interesante leer una entrevista y ver la historia de otrxs escritorxs.
As someone who makes a graffiti fanzine, I think it’s a cool initiative. It’s always interesting to read an interview and learn about the stories of other writers.
¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?
Do you remember the first piece?
Mi primera marca fue en el 1995 con 9 años, con un spray morado de coche guapísimo, que me regalaron para el amigo invisible en clase. Pieza con relleno no me acuerdo muy bien, no sé si sería en mi pueblo o en el pueblo donde veraneaba, pero sería sobre el 1996/1997, me acuerdo de ir a robar los Spray Color para pintar. La segunda o tercera sí me acuerdo y fue un plata, recuerdo ir por el día a marcarla con tiza para por la noche ir a hacerla.
My first tag was in 1995 when I was nine years old, with a gorgeous purple spray paint that I received as a Secret Santa gift in class. I don’t remember very well where I did my first filled piece, I don’t know if it was in my village or in the village where I spent my summers, but it would have been around 1996/1997. I remember going to steal Spray Color to paint with. I do remember the second or third one, which was silver. I remember going during the day to mark it with chalk so that I could go back at night to do it.
