When I was in seventh grade, I saw some classmates who started painting, and I also realized that even though rap and graffiti were two different things, they often went hand in hand, and I already liked rap…so I decided to find myself a tag (power at first) and start spraying my first little tags with spray cans that my brother from other mother called Mike let me use.

Cuando iba a séptimo de EGB vi a compañeros que empezaron a pintar, también me di cuenta de que aún siendo dos cosas diferentes el rap y el graffiti iban muchas veces de la mano y a mi el rap ya me gustaba…así decidí buscarme una firma (power al principio) y empezar a echar mis primeras firmillas chichis con botes que me dejaba mi hermano de otra madre Mike.

¿De dónde viene tu apodo?

Where does your pseudonym come from?

De nada en concreto, solo me gustaba como encajaban las letras y como sonaba.

Nothing in particular, I just liked how the letters fit together and how it sounded.

¿Qué es lo que más te gusta del graffiti y lo que menos? 

What do you like most about graffiti and what do you like least?

Lo que más me gusta es la satisfacción que te da cuando te haces piezas con las que te quedas a gusto con el resultado y lo que menos pues no se…supongo que los marrones que se puedan tener pero eso a mi no me afecta demasiado porque aunque haya hecho mis cosillas nunca he sido un bomber…hay que ser sincero y no ir del palo jejeje.

What I like most is the satisfaction you get when you make pieces that you’re happy with, and what I like least… I don’t know… I guess the problems you might have, but that doesn’t affect me too much because even though I’ve done my thing, I’ve never been a firefighter… you have to be honest and not pretend to be something you’re not, ha ha ha.

¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza? 

Do you remember the first piece?

Sí que me acuerdo si…Fue en la nochebuena del 89 y no fue ni con un spray de pintura, fue con un spray de esos de pintarte el pelo de colores jejeje.

Me baje después de la cena con mi primo a un muro q había justo debajo de su casa en Aluche y me hice un keko (no fue pieza) de esos que ya había pintado mogollón de veces en las cintas de rap que me grababa…ya me lo tenía trayaisimo…ahí se quedaría hasta la primera vez que lloviera jejeje

Yes, I remember if… It was Christmas Eve in ’89, and it wasn’t even with spray paint, it was with one of those sprays you use to dye your hair different colors, ha ha ha.

After dinner, I went down with my cousin to a wall just below his house in Aluche and did a character (it wasn’t a piece) like the ones I had painted a million times on the rap tapes I recorded… I had it down pat… it would stay there until the first time it rained, ha ha ha.

Poca cosa…que mola mucho lo que haces porque difundes graffiti a tope y mandar máximo respeto a todos aquellos que meten caña a saco (cosa la cual yo no hago que últimamente me muevo menos que los ojos de espinete…a ver si me quito las telarañas).

No big deal…what you do is really cool because you spread graffiti everywhere and send maximum respect to all those who work their asses off (which I don’t do because lately I move less than Espinete’s eyes…let’s see if I can shake off the cobwebs).
