Where does your pseudonym come from?

En Francés hay una expresión que dice comer como un ogro. Otro writer me dijo esto una vez y se me quedo.

In French there is an expression that says to eat like an ogre. Other writer once said this to me and it stuck.

¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar?

What motivated you to get started painting?

Ya dibujaba, pero el graffiti me hizo descubrir que se podía pintar en grande y sobre todo fuera de casa. Un hogar no esta siempre dulce, como la vida y fue una buena escapatoria.

I was already drawing, but graffiti made me discover that it was possible to paint big and especially outside the home. A home is not always sweet, like life and it was a good escape.

¿Qué es lo que más te gusta del graffiti y lo que menos?

What do you like most about graffiti and what do you like least?

Me gusta liberar la mente, expresar y afilar una visión de las letras en el espacio y el cuerpo. La dimensión monumental y la gimnástica que conlleva este formato. El graffiti me hizo conocer a gente de todo el planeta, Desarrolle amistades, idiomas, descubrí el mundo y la riqueza de los otro países.

No me gustan los presumidos, guardias del templo y otros extremistas y intolerantes.

I like to free the mind, to express and sharpen a vision of the letters in space and body. The monumental dimension and gymnastics that comes with this format. Graffiti made me meet people from all over the planet, I developed friendships, languages, I discovered the world and the richness of other countries.

I don’t like show-offs, temple guards and other extremists and bigots.

Gracias por darme la oportunidad y darme esta vitrina. La web existe desde tantos años, la descubrí en la temporada que viví en España. Yo fui periodista para blogs y revistas como Innercity. Capturar momentos del graffiti y promoverlo me parece bien. Las revistas son la memoria de este movimiento.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity and giving me this showcase. The website has been around for so many years, I discovered it during the time I lived in Spain. I was a journalist for blogs and magazines like Innercity. Capturing moments of graffiti and promoting it seems good to me. Magazines are the memory of this movement.

¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?

Do you remember the first piece?

Si, era en Lyon en un spot mítico de la cuidad, aun se pinta allí y era en el 1996. Era una reproducción del muñeco de Luniz, el grupo de rap americano. Se abrió un nuevo mundo que nunca deje.

No siento tanta pasión como antes, es un viejo matrimonio que cambió el habito de mi vida actual. Estoy pintando más por el rato que paso que los amigos que la pasión caníbala que pude sentir durante años y me va bien así. Al final son casi 30 años ya de relación.

Yes, it was in Lyon in a mythical spot of the city, it is still painted there and it was in 1996. It was a reproduction of the Luniz doll, the American rap group. It opened a new world that I never left.

I don’t feel as much passion as before, it’s an old marriage that changed the habit of my current life. I’m painting more for the time I spend with friends than the cannibalistic passion I could feel for years and I’m doing well this way. In the end it’s almost 30 years of relationship already.
