¿De dónde viene tu apodo? 

Antes de KNOCKE tuve otros nombres, pero no me convencieron porque no tenían un significado en concreto y un día solamente se me vino el nombre de KNOCK pensando en su significado en inglés de KNOCK KNOCK como cuando tocan a la puerta y pensé en usarlo como una manera de yo demostrar que ahí estoy presente tocándoles a los otros o a los haters a la puerta y no me voy a ir jajaja es gracioso y mayormente le hago cambios de letras como la E al final o KNOKER solo por darle más estilo. 

Before KNOCKE I had other names, but they didn’t convince me because they didn’t have a concrete meaning and one day I just came up with the name KNOCK thinking about its meaning in English KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK like when they knock on the door and I thought of using it as a way of showing that I’m there knocking on the door and I’m not going to leave hahaha it’s funny and mostly I make changes of letters like the E at the end or KNOKER just to give it more style. 

 

 

¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar? 

What motivated you to get started painting?

Yo soy originario de Querétaro en México y por allá del 2004 conocí a un amigo que hacía graffiti, para ese entonces yo tenía como 11 años y ya me gustaba hacer otro tipo de dibujos desde más niño y este amigo fue el que me enseñó y tenía black books de otros amigos de él cuando los vi algo cambió en mi y empecé a entrar al mundo de las letras y graffiti él mismo me impulsó a empezar a hacer bocetos y de más cosas después le perdí el contacto, pero yo seguí hasta ahora. 

I am originally from Queretaro in Mexico and back in 2004 I met a friend who did graffiti, by then I was about 11 years old and I already liked to do other types of drawings since I was a child and this friend was the one who taught me and had black books of other friends of him when I saw them something changed in me and I began to enter the world of letters and graffiti he himself encouraged me to start doing sketches and more things after I lost contact with him, but I continued until now. 

 

 

¿Cuál es tu estilo?

What is your style?

Mi estilo actualmente se basa en letras tipo wildstyle especialmente con corte grueso y trato de mantener la limpieza y simetría en las letras al igual que los colores siempre llamativos con buen contraste y actualmente pretendo meter más fluorescente en mis gamas de color, también se hacer characters tipo pop kawai algo así jaja pero los hago muy aparte del graffiti aunque también quiero seguir mejorándolos y practicando, al igual que el handstyle y bombas me defiendo bien pero no lo he ejecutado mucho últimamente.  

My style is currently based on wildstyle letters especially with thick cut and I try to maintain the cleanliness and symmetry in the letters as well as the colors always striking with good contrast and currently I intend to put more fluorescent in my color ranges, I also do characters type pop kawai something like that haha but I do them very apart from the graffiti but I also want to continue improving and practicing, like the handstyle and bombs I defend myself well but I have not executed much lately.

Me parece muy bien no me lo esperaba, pero yo creo que es de gran ayuda para que más gente conozca el trabajo de más artistas de graffiti que están por ahí un poco escondidos lo cual les agradezco su consideración y espacio, MUCHAS GRACIAS!! 

I think it’s very good I did not expect it, but I think it’s a great help for more people to know the work of more graffiti artists who are out there a little hidden which I thank you for your consideration and space, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! 

 

 

¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza? 

Do you remember the first piece?

No la recuerdo como tal porque empecé tirando tags y pegando stickers por el barrio por un tiempo al principio, pero como tal la que yo consideraría la primera fue detrás de un banco en la noche junto con otro amigo tenía como 13 años y fue unas letras muy feas obviamente, pero mucha adrenalina porque justo ese día nos persiguió un perro por un largo tramo y esa fue como mi inauguración tirando bombing jajaja, y ahora mi estilo es muy diferente hay una brecha muy abismal si los comparamos. 

I don’t remember it as such because I started throwing tags and sticking stickers around the neighborhood for a while at first, but as such the one that I would consider the first was behind a bench at night with another friend I was about 13 years old and it was obviously very ugly letters, but a lot of adrenaline because just that day we were chased by a dog for a long stretch and that was like my inauguration throwing bombing hahaha, and now my style is very different there is a very abysmal gap if we compare them. 

 

 

¿Cuál es tu crew?

What is your crew?

Mi crew actualmente es CWB (creating without boundaries) es un crew establecido en la ciudad de Chicago donde vivo actualmente desde hace 8 años aunque en el crew llevo 3 años, cuando me mudé a Estados Unidos estuve inactivo como por 5 años sólo hacía bocetos en papel hasta que los conocí en un evento y me jalaron a pintar y desde ahí retomé todo de nuevo y me han ayudado mucho a seguir mejorando prácticamente ellos me rescataron. 

My current crew is CWB (creating without boundaries) is a crew established in the city of Chicago where I currently live for 8 years although I’ve been in the crew for 3 years, when I moved to the United States I was inactive for about 5 years I only made sketches on paper until I met them at an event and they pulled me to paint and from there I took everything back and they have helped me a lot to continue improving practically they rescued me.

Solo quisiera agradecer al rincón de las boquillas por el espacio y la entrevista y fue un gusto compartir mi historia por este medio y pues también decirles a los demás que están en este movimiento de Graffiti no lo suelten sigan echándole los kilos NO COPIEN e intenten de pulir su estilo propio nunca vamos a dejar de aprender y recuerden que el Graffiti no está peleado con la calidad, MUCHAS GRACIAS y saludos.
