Kemos
I’ve always been interested in drawing since childhood when I came across graffiti I was immediately hooked the fact that you could just go out and paint whatever you wanted where ever and reach the masses for better or worse was an instant love affair.
Siempre me ha interesado el dibujo, desde que era niño, cuando descubrí el graffiti. Me enganchó inmediatamente el hecho de que pudieras salir a pintar lo que quisieras donde quisieras y llegar al gran público, para bien o para mal. Fue amor a primera vista.
¿De dónde viene tu apodo?
Where does your pseudonym come from?
Viene de «queremos quemar» y de ahí saqué Kemos.
It comes from «queremos quemar» and from that I got Kemos.
¿Qué es lo que más te gusta del graffiti y lo que menos?
What do you like most about graffiti and what do you like least?
Me encanta pintar al aire libre, las misiones, explorar y analizar todas las posibilidades de la composición. Lo que menos me gusta es la posibilidad de que me pillen y todo el drama que eso conlleva.
I really enjoy painting out in the open air, the missions, exploring and dissecting all the possibilities of piecing, my least favorite part is the possibility of getting bagged, and the drama.

¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?
Do you remember the first piece?
Sí, recuerdo mi primera obra, estaba en una pared de nuestra línea de tren local. Probé varios nombres antes de decidirme por Kemos, nada me convencía tanto como esa combinación de letras, que me parecía que fluía muy bien. Mis primeras obras eran horribles, pero tenían uno o dos elementos que me gustaban, así que los tomaba y construía a partir de ellos. Con el tiempo, se formó y evolucionó un estilo que sigue construyéndose y evolucionando, como cualquier otra cosa: cuanto más lo haces, más cómodo te sientes con ello.
Yeah I remember my 1st piece it was down on a wall on our local train line, I tried several names before landing on Kemos nothing resonated like that combination of letters really flowed well for me, my 1st pieces were horrible but would have an element or 2 that I liked so I would take that and build of it and in time a style formed and evolved and continue to build and evolve, like anything else the more you do it the more comfortable you become with it.
