I come from a small town and didn’t have any brothers or sisters, so when I was little, I didn’t have much to do for fun. I became passionate about drawing at a very young age, as soon as I could hold a pencil, in fact. So as soon as I discovered hip hop culture, around the age of 13 or 14, it was only natural that I turned to graffiti, which was the most graphic branch of our culture. I drew a lot of lettering, B-Boys, but also a lot of portraits of rappers.

Me apasioné por el dibujo a una edad muy temprana, tan pronto como pude sostener un lápiz, de hecho. It’s a long story and there are many reasons… To begin with, “dirty” is because when I started out, my style wasn’t very clean; I used a lot of drips, for example. Six is my lucky number, and the shape looks like the letter G, which was the first letter of my first name.
At the time, it was the heyday of Wu-Tang and Ol’ Dirty Bastard, of whom I was and still am a huge fan. I also liked the assonance between “dirty six” and “thirty six.” I sometimes shorten it to DSix or Dirt. So now you know all about the origins!.

Aunque no me gusta limitarme a un solo estilo, principalmente pinto retratos realistas/semirrealistas con pintura en aerosol sobre paredes. Pero también pinto con pinceles, dibujo… ¡Intento hacer tantas cosas como puedo y aún me queda mucho por descubrir!.
Even though I don’t like to limit myself to one style, I mainly paint realistic/semi-realistic portraits with spray paint on walls. But I also paint with brushes, I draw… I try as many things as possible and there is still so much to discover!.

No recuerdo exactamente cuál fue mi primera obra, ¡pero sí recuerdo mi primera firma! Fue con un spray Marabu turquesa en un callejón de mi ciudad natal, Saint-Omer. Lo recuerdo todo: el olor, la adrenalina, pasar por delante después. ¡No tenía ni idea de que estaba entrando en lo que se convertiría en la parte más importante de mi vida! Eso fue hace casi 30 años, y estoy contento con el camino que he recorrido desde entonces. Gracias al graffiti, he tenido los encuentros más maravillosos de mi vida y también los viajes más bonitos. ¡Y todo empezó en un día gris a finales del siglo XX!.
I don’t remember exactly what my first piece was, but I do remember my first tag! It was with a turquoise Marabu spray can in an alleyway in my hometown, Saint-Omer. I remember everything: the smell, the adrenaline, walking past it afterwards. I had no idea that I was stepping into what would become the biggest part of my life! That was almost 30 years ago, and I’m happy with the journey I’ve been on since then. Thanks to graffiti, I’ve had the most wonderful encounters of my life, and the most beautiful trips too. And it all started on a gray day at the end of the 20th century!.

Espero que el futuro me depare tantas cosas maravillosas como todo lo que me ha sucedido desde que empecé. Espero que la situación mundial no se deteriore demasiado para que podamos seguir divirtiéndonos, progresando y viajando. También espero que la IA no cobre demasiada importancia en nuestras creaciones. Está ahí, no podemos hacer nada al respecto, ¡pero podemos aprender a no abusar de ella!. !Paz!.
I hope that the future holds as many wonderful things for me as everything that has happened since I started out. I hope the global situation doesn’t deteriorate too much so that we can continue to have fun, progress, and travel!. I also hope that AI doesn’t become too important in our creations.
