¿De dónde viene tu apodo?
Where does your pseudonym come from?
En realidad era coed pero luego salíamos a pintar de ilegal y me aplicaban como coeds hasta que un amigo de la prepa que pintaba arbe me dijo que se escuchaba mejor con t y así que empecé a poner Coets y me gustó la idea que se creó a través de la gente con la que empecé.
It was actually coed, but then we went out to do illegal graffiti and they treated me like a coed until a friend from the high school who painted arbe told me that it sounded better with a t, so I started using Coets and I liked the idea that was created by the people I started out with.
¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar?
What motivated you to get started painting?
Lo genial que era llenar de tu nombre o tu crew diferentes barrios con bombas o tops, colocarlos por donde pasabas al diario o por donde nunca habías andado.
How cool it was to fill different neighbourhoods with your name or your crew’s name on graffiti or tags, placing them wherever you went every day or wherever you had never been before.
¿Qué es lo que más te gusta del graffiti y lo que menos?
What do you like most about graffiti and what do you like least?
Lo que me gusta es todo lo que puedes con unas simples letras llenarlas de texturas, jugar con diferentes puntos de luz, jugar con los cortes dándoles estilización, darles composición, crearle movimiento, personalidad, ver las diferentes maneras de crear les volúmenes en 3d y seguir tratando de buscar algo más que se les pueda hacer
Lo que no me gusta es ponernos topes, límites, reglas de todo tiene que ser como te lo enseñaron, que no puedes romper parámetros, qué tienes que encasillarte a los estilos establecidos, cuando algo que te dijeron que era limpio no lo puedes ensuciar qué algo que tiene que ser derecho no lo puedes deformar, que un corte tiene que ser del mismo tamaño entre muchos ejemplos más.
What I like is everything you can do with simple letters: fill them with textures, play with different points of light, play with cuts to stylise them, give them composition, create movement and personality, see the different ways of creating 3D volumes and keep trying to find something else you can do with them.
What I don’t like is setting limits, rules that everything has to be the way you were taught, that you can’t break the parameters, that you have to pigeonhole yourself into established styles, that you can’t dirty something you were told was clean, that you can’t deform something that has to be straight, that a cut has to be the same size, among many other examples.

Una idea genial porque se comparte el punto de vista y sus vivencias de cada escritor al igual que nos comparte cada parte de sus procesos y vivencias en cada trazo a lo largo de su trayectoria.
A brilliant idea because it shares each writer’s point of view and experiences, as well as sharing every part of their processes and experiences in each stroke throughout their career.
¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?

Si, cuando me di cuenta que se podía hacer más que una bomba de unos cuantos minutos, ver que si inviertes más tiempo a una pinta sobre el muro podías dejar algo más satisfactorio y tal ves al final puedas compartir con los demás que lo vean pero eso ya es de gustos.
Ese día intente hacer un 3d fue por allá del 2009 eran unas letras sencillas aunque me costó darles forma a las dimensiones.en el 2022 volví a utilizar la c de ese entonces tome la estructura intente darle perspectiva de un lado en forma de bomba o pieza y a la ves que las otras caras generarán dimensiones le agregue corte para tratar de unir dos estilos pero tratando de que se pudieran apreciar los dos y todavía le añadí texturas para divertirme un poco.
When I realised that you could do more than just a quick graffiti piece, that if you invested more time in a painting on the wall you could leave something more satisfying and maybe in the end you could share it with others who saw it, but that’s a matter of taste.
That day I tried to do a 3D piece, it was around 2009, they were simple letters, although I had trouble shaping the dimensions. In 2022, I went back to using the C from back then. I took the structure and tried to give it perspective on one side in the form of a bomb or piece, and at the same time, the other sides would generate dimensions. I added a cut to try to unite two styles, but trying to make sure that both could be appreciated, and I even added textures to have a little fun.

Que disfruten pintar no sabemos cuántos nos dure el gusto, siempre más cerca de la pintura y más lejos de la controversia.
May they enjoy painting; we do not know how long our enjoyment will last, always closer to painting and further away from controversy.
