El tag apareció cuando tenia 14 años debido a la simpleza de las letras y como quedaban juntas.
I came up with the tag when I was 14 simply because of the letters and how they looked together.
¿Qué te motivó para empezar a ser un escritor de graffiti?
What motivated you to get started being a graffiti writer?
A principios de los años 90, en el Bronx, los tres elementos del hip hop dejaron una huella. Yo no era un bailarín de break dance y no podía rapear, así que el graffiti era mi objetivo. También amé el arte desde niño y a los 14 años conocí a unos cuantos chicos de Virginia Ave. en el Bronx y empezamos nuestra crew.
Back in the early 90’s in the Bronx the three elements of hip hop were really making a mark. I wasn’t a break dancer and I sure couldn’t rap so graffiti was my go to. I also loved art since a young child and at 14 I met a few kids from Virginia Ave in the Bronx and we started our crew.

What do you try to say with your graffiti?
Mi graffiti es una expresión de mi educación en la cultura. Me encanta hacer retratos y producciones completas, pero mi favorito personal es sólo bombardear algo de arte. Lanzamientos y firmar en capas uno encima del otro. Me lleva a los primeros días de mi graffiti y a cómo bombardeábamos toda la noche.
My graffiti is such an expression of my upbringing in the culture. I love doing portraits and full productions but my personal favorite is just bombing some art. Throwies and tags layered over each other. It takes me back to the early days of my graffiti and how we would just bomb all night long.
¿Cuál es tu estilo?
What is your style?
Mi estilo es una mezcla de estar obsesionado con las líneas y rellenos limpios. Me encantan los collages y los emparejamientos que no deberían ir juntos, como mi pieza con Tyler el Creador y Super Mario. Me encanta experimentar con diferentes imágenes. Todo, desde el arte pop hasta los dibujos animados de los 80 y los retratos de hoy en día.
My style is a mixture of being obsessed with clean, clean, clean lines and fills. I love collages and pairing things that shouldn’t go together such as my piece with Tyler the Creator and Super Mario. I love experimenting with different pictures. Everything from pop art to 80’s cartoons and modern day portraits.

Creo que el objetivo de la mayoría de los artistas es que su arte sea visto. Ser capaz de tener una plataforma para promover la cultura del graffiti lo es todo para mí. Ha sido una buena carrera para nosotros y lo llevamos todo paso a paso y día a día. Siempre es un honor cuando alguien se interesa en lo que hacemos.
I believe that most artists goal is to get his or her art seen. Being able to have a platform to promote the culture of graffiti is everything to me. Its been a good run for us and we take it all step by step and day by day. It is always an honor when someone is interested in what we do.
¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?
Do you remember the first piece?
No puedo recordar la primera pieza que hice cuando era una larga adolescente. Definitivamente recuerdo haber tomado notas de tantos escritores de los que me rodeé. Aprendí mucho de Dero, que es una leyenda y vivía en el edificio de mis amigos. Sin embargo, recuerdo el mural que hice bajo Encadenados y Encontrados. Es aterrador, por decir lo menos, pero lo miro y lo respeto en lo que respecta a donde estoy ahora y lo lejos que he progresado en mis habilidades. Especialmente cuando se trata de armar murales masivos (el más grande hasta la fecha era de aproximadamente 20 pies de alto por 80 pies de largo). El primer mural que hice bajo Encadenados y Encontrados estaba mal presupuestado, difícil de terminar porque era muy alto y no tenía escalera, y mal planeado (me quedé sin pintura 3 veces y tuve que hacer 3 viajes diferentes para comprar pintura en aerosol).
I cannot remember the first piece I did as a long teenager. I definitely remember taking notes from so many writers that I surrounded myself with. I learned a lot from Dero who is a legend and lived in my friends building. I do however remember the mural I did under Laced and Found. Its scary to say the least but I look back at it and respect it in regards to where I am now and how far I have progressed in my skills. Especially when it comes to putting together massive murals (our biggest to date was approximately 20ft high by 80ft long). The first mural I did under Laced and Found was poorly budgeted, tough to finish cause it was so high and didn’t own a ladder, and poorly planned (I ran out of paint 3 times and had to make 3 different trips to buy spray paint).

Sólo quiero agradecer a todos por el continuo apoyo. Hemos tenido un asombroso seguimiento y seguiremos haciendo murales que nos encantan y que la comunidad y la gente también amarán. Gracias por apoyarnos y por lo que hacemos.
