¿De dónde viene tu apodo?

Where does your pseudonym come from?

Tuve algunos apodos antes, Acmé, wack1, cambiaba de tag cuando aparecían copias de mi seudónimo, llegue a quedarme con Ángel por mi admiración por Miguel Ángel y también por el significado de la palabra, a lo largo de los años han aparecido más personas utilizando el tag Ángel como seudónimo y decidí no cambiarlo más, por eso soy Ángel1.

I had some nicknames before, Acme, wack1, I changed tags when copies of my pseudonym appeared, I came to stay with Ángel because of my admiration for Miguel Ángel and also because of the meaning of the word, over the years more people have appeared using the tag Ángel as a pseudonym and I decided not to change it anymore, that’s why I’m Ángel1.

 

 

 

¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar?

What motivated you to get started painting?

Por el barrio camino a la escuela, miraba los muros y me llamaban la atención todos esos estilos de distorsión de letras que eran de distintas ideologías, graffiti o políticas pero el muro esa su soporte y me hacía sentirme atraído por cada espacio utilizado en la vía pública, entonces en base a esto empecé a practicar e inventar las mías. Y también llevar acabo el dibujo al muro en una exposición de aplicación al graffiti.

In the neighborhood on the way to school, I would look at the walls and all those styles of distortion of letters that were of different ideologies, graffiti or politics caught my attention, but the wall was its support and made me feel attracted to each space used on the road. public, so based on this I began to practice and invent my own. And also carry out the drawing on the wall in an exhibition of application to graffiti.

 

 

 

¿Cuál es tu estilo? 

What is your style?

Yo soy muy versátil, me gusta no tener un estilo fijo, puedo hacer wild, 2d 3D, carácter, realismos, etc…

I am very versatile, I like not having a fixed style, I can do wild, 2d, 3D, character, realism, etc…

Me siento muy halagado que una pagina cómo está me haya escogido para uno más de los entrevistados en su historia y formar parte de esto.

I feel very honoured that a website like this has chosen me for one more of the interviewees in its story and to be part of this.

 

 

¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza? 

Do you remember the first piece?

Mi primera pieza sin publicar fue en el patio de mi casa, con un rodillo y un spray, después cuando me sentí ya conforme con lo logrado lo repliqué en una cancha del barrio donde crecí, para mi fue una experiencia inolvidable, todos los días trataba de pasar por el mismo lugar para ver la pieza que se encontrará tal cual la deje.

My first unpublished piece was in the patio of my house, with a roller and a spray, later when I felt satisfied with what I had achieved, I replicated it in a field in the neighborhood where I grew up, for me it was an unforgettable experience, every day I tried to go through the same place to see the piece that will be found just as I left it.

 

 

Y para terminar ¿algo que quieras decir?

And finally, anything you want to say?

La vida me a dado tropiezos de salud fuertes, tanto que han interrumpido mi vida de escritor , pero ya no dejaré pasar más el tiempo y mi vida se logrará a través de la pintura y el graffiti, mi sustento mi decisión, amo el graffiti y la pintura y desde aquí seguiré hasta el último respiro.

Para las nuevas generaciones del graffiti les digo que busquen su estilo propio sin copiar y siempre tratando de ser los mejores compitiendo contigo mismo, no se puede competir con el otro por que todos tenemos estilos diferentes.

El graffiti es vida, no moda.

Life has given me strong health setbacks, so much so that they have interrupted my life as a writer, but I will no longer let time pass and my life will be achieved through painting and graffiti, my livelihood my decision, I love graffiti and painting and from here I will continue until the last breath.

For the new generations of graffiti I tell them to look for their own style without copying and always trying to be the best by competing with yourself, you cannot compete with the other because we all have different styles.

Graffiti is life, not fashion.
