¿De dónde viene tu nombre?

Where does your pseudonime come from?

El nombre de mi tag es 5ive. Empecé en el graffiti usando «Survive» como mi nombre de tag. Como el nombre es demasiado largo para ser escrito en la pared, decidí hacerlo corto en «Sive» reemplazando la «S» por el número «5».

My tag name is 5ive. I started graffiti by using “Survive” as my tag name. As the name is too long to be written on the wall, so I decided to make it short into “Sive” by replacing “S” with number “5”.

 

 

 

¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar?

What motivated you to get started to paint?

Me encanta el graffiti desde la infancia. Soy muy apasionado cuando se trata del graffiti. Es la mejor manera de expresar mis sentimientos y olvidar mis problemas. Estar en la crew de STC y TOG me mantiene motivado en esta escena del graffiti. Compartimos ideas y aprendemos unos de otros.

I love graffiti since childhood. I’m very passionate when it comes to graffiti. It’s the best way to express my feelings and to forget about my problem. Being in STC and TOG crew keeps me motivated in this graffiti scene. We share ideas and learn from each other.

 

 

 

¿Cuál es tu estilo?

What is your style?

¡ Wildstyle! Es complicado y difícil de leer para una persona que no sea escritor. Me encanta cómo funciona el estilo. Juega con la estructura de las letras y combínala con flechas, púas y otros y combínala con elementos 3D.

Wildstyle! It’s complicated and hard for a non-graffiti writer to read. I love how the style works. Play around with the structure of the letter and combine it with arrows, spikes and others and combine it with 3D elements.

¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?

Do you remember the first piece?

¡Claro! Empecé a pintar mi primera pieza en el edificio abandonado de Malaca, Malasia. Esto fue durante mi período de estudio que es en 2016. He cambiado mucho mi estilo desde que empecé hasta ahora. En aquel entonces, sólo pintaba para marcar mi nombre en el lugar. Pero ahora es diferente. Estoy pintando mientras exploro el nuevo estilo y sigo desarrollándome para mejorar mis habilidades.

Of course! I started painting my first piece at the abandoned building in Malacca, Malaysia. This was during my study period which is on 2016. I have changed my style a lot since I started until now. Back then, I just paint to mark my name at the place. But now it’s different. I’m painting while exploring the new style and keep developing to improve my skills.

 

 

 

¿Qué es lo que más te gusta del graffiti que te mantiene haciendolo?

What do you like the most about graffiti that keeps you doing it?

Me encanta la cultura de la escena del graffiti en Malasia. Podemos conocer a todos y pintar juntos. Siempre es divertido conocer gente nueva y aprender unos de otros. Y el mayor disfrute es ver la mejora de mis estilos.

I love the culture of the Graffiti scene in Malaysia. We get to meet everyone and paint together. It’s always fun when meeting new people and learn from each other. And the biggest enjoyment is seeing the improvement of my styles.
