¿Qué te motivó para empezar a ser un escritor de graffiti?

What motivated you to get started being a graffiti writer?

A mediados de los 90 conocí la cultura hip hop y me absorbió por completo, después conocí gente de mi barrio que me mostro lo que era el Graffiti e inmediatamente supe que eso es lo que yo quería hacer.

In the mid 90’s I got to know the hip hop culture and it completely absorbed me, then I met people from my neighborhood who showed me what Graffiti was and I immediately knew that that’s what I wanted to do.

¿Qué tratas de decir con tus graffitis?

What do you try to say with your graffiti?

En realidad, no es algo que me plantee demasiado ya que es algo que me sale de forma natural y es casi automático. Supongo que de una manera inconsciente trato de compartir mi entusiasmo por la vida.

Actually, it is not something that I think too much because it is something that comes naturally to me and is almost automatic. I guess in an unconscious way I try to share my enthusiasm for life.

¿Cuál es tu estilo?

What is your style?

Desde que empecé a pintar he practicado multitud de estilos y no me gusta encasillarme en ninguno, ya que me aburro si repito siempre lo mismo y me gusta investigar y practicar cosas nuevas, aunque procuro no olvidar la esencia.

Hoy en día practico tanto el wild style como otros estilos de diferentes influencias que vienen del retro futurismo, la geometría, he incluso el diseño Memphis o la cultura de los 90s.

Since I started painting I have practiced a lot of styles and I do not like to type in any, since I get bored if I always repeat the same and I like to investigate and practice new things, although I try not to forget the essence.

Today I practice both wild style and other styles of different influences that come from retro futurism, geometry, I have even the Memphis design or the culture of the 90s.

Me parece una forma cojonuda de difundir mi pintura y al mismo tiempo conocer el trabajo de otros artistas.

It seems to me a great way to spread my painting and at the same time to know the work of other artists.

¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?

Do you remember the first piece?

Por supuesto, es un recuerdo imborrable. Por aquella época de adolescente, pintábamos una misma pieza entre tres o cuatro colegas, comprábamos dos botes mientras nos llevábamos 6 o 7. En mi primera pieza ponía (DNT) estaba rellenada con pintura plástica y medía menos de un metro de alto. Todavía recuerdo pintar con spray Felton de 200ml y terminar con el dedo reventado para mantener el trazo fino cuando solo existía una única boquilla, que disparaba igual que un serpentín.

Tengo muy buenos recuerdos de cuando todo estaba por descubrir y lo poco que había se vivía de una forma más auténtica.

Of course, it is an indelible memory. At that time as a teenager, we painted the same piece among three or four colleagues, we bought two boats while we were 6 or 7. In my first piece i wrote (DNT) was filled with plastic paint and it was less than a meter high. I still remember to paint with 200ml Felton spray and finish with the busted finger to keep the fine line when there was only a single cap, which fired just like a coil.

I have very good memories of when everything was to be discovered and how little there was lived in a more authentic way.

¿Qué es lo que más te gusta del graffiti que te mantiene haciéndolo?

What do you like the most about graffiti that keeps you doing it?

Forma parte de mi vida y de mi evolución personal, me mantiene activo y enérgico, gracias a esto he conocido gentes y lugares increíbles. Además, es una buena terapia para el estrés ya que puedo fluir mientras pinto y no pensar en nada mas que en lo que estoy haciendo en ese mismo momento. Y siempre es una buena excusa para viajar a otros sitios o para pasar un buen día al aire libre y disfrutar con tus colegas.

It is part of my life and my personal evolution, it keeps me active and energetic, thanks to this I have met people and incredible places. In addition, it is a good therapy for stress because I can flow while I paint and not think about anything but what I am doing at that moment. And it is always a good excuse to travel to other places or to spend a good day outdoors and enjoy with friends.
