¿Por qué tu tag es «IF ONE» ?
Why is your tag «IF ONE»?
Bien, he tenido muchos tags a lo largo de estos años, pero cuando empecé realmente a pintar en trenes me tuve que centrar en uno solo, porque cuando más lo escribes más se te conocerá. En ese momento nadie firmaba «IF», asi que lo pille y empeze a firmar asi.
Well Thru the years i have had many tags, but when i really started writing on the trains i had to settle on only one because the more you write it the more other writers would know who you were. At that time noone was writing «IF», so i took it and cause i was from first street i used the one.
¿Qué fue lo que te motivo para coger un spray y ponerte a pintar en la calle?
What made you grab a spray and start painting on the streets?
Creo que ha estado en mi desde que empecé. El punto importante es el salir fuera y que la gente te vea.
I guess it’s been in me since i started. The whole point of doing graff was to get it out there and so people can see you up.
¿Nos podrías dar algún consejo para ser igual de bueno que tu pintando
Could you give us a piece of advice to be as good as you painting?
Tu sigue haciendolo, y con el tiempo iras siendo mejor. Hazlo a tu manera.
Just keep doing it and you will get better over time. Make it your own.
¿Cuál es tu estilo?
What is your style?
Mi estilo, diría que es el estilo clásico de la ciudad de New York .
My style i would say is classic New York City style.
¿Qué piensas sobre los graffitis en los trenes?
What do you think about graffiti on trains?
Bien, escribía en los trenes cuando llevaban graffitis aquí, en New York. Era un mundo completamente diferente del que es ahora el graffiti. Me encantaba. Es lo que viví entoncés, creciendo. Ojalá siguiera aquí.
Well i wrote on the trains when they were running with graffiti here in New York. It was a whole different world then graff is today. I loved it. It’s what i lived for back then growing up. Wish it was still here.

It’s such a great place to paint , there is no place like it in the world i would say. It is in trouble now of being closed down please check the website and see what you can do to help.

Can you talk about the graffiti in your city?
El graffiti en New York parece que viene y va. Adquiere importancia con nuevos escritores que salen y algunos más viejos que vuelven, pero es realmente duro porque las calles están más llenas de lo que solían estarlo. Los polis y las leyes hacen que te cojan estos días y sea mucho peor.
Graff in New York seems to come and go. It goes hard with some new writers coming out and some old ones coming back, but it’s really tough cause the streets are buffed more then they used to be. The cops and laws are much worst these days for getting caught.
