I came up with that word when I was a child and I don’t think that there is a deep meaning behind it, but it can go the way to make people see up and around them. 

Se me ocurrió esa palabra cuando era niño y no creo que tenga un significado profundo, pero puede servir para que la gente mire hacia arriba y a su alrededor.

  

¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar?

What motivated you to get started painting?

Al principio era solo por diversión con mis amigos, quedándonos despiertos toda la noche. Empecé con el graffiti más o menos cuando falleció mi padre, y supongo que era una forma de escapar de la realidad.

At the beginning it was just for fun with my friends, staying up all night. My start with Graffiti was around my father’s passing, too and I guess it was something like a getaway from reality. 

¿Qué es lo que más te gusta del graffiti y lo que menos?

What do you like most about graffiti and what do you like least?

Lo que más me gusta del graffiti es la oportunidad de conocer a tanta gente estupenda de todo el mundo y la libertad de hacer todo a tu manera, sin tener que seguir unas reglas estrictas. Estudié un poco de bellas artes en la escuela y seguir todas las reglas era demasiado para mí. Me mataba la creatividad. Por supuesto, eso no significa que las bellas artes y todos los demás estilos sean malos, simplemente me sentí identificado con la libertad del graffiti.

The things that I most love about graffiti are the opportunities to meet so many great people from all around the world and the freedom to make everything your way, without following some strict rules. I studied a little bit of fine arts at school and following all the rules was a bit too much for me. It kind of kill the creativity for me. Of course, that doesn’t mean anything bad about the fine arts and all other styles, I just found myself in the freedom of Graffiti.

What do you think about the idea of us publishing your artworks on our web «elrincondelasboquillas.com»?

Estoy muy agradecido por la oportunidad y la apoyo totalmente. Nuestra escena en Bulgaria no es muy grande, y el reconocimiento mundial no es algo habitual, al menos para mí. ¡Me encanta que podamos mostrar al mundo nuestra pequeña pero sólida escena! ¡Hay muchos escritores locales con estilos únicos!.

I am very grateful for the opportunity, and I am completely supportive of it. Our scene in Bulgaria is not so big, and worldwide recognition is not a common thing at least for me. I love that we can show the world our small, but strong scene! There are many local writers with unique styles!.

¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?

Do you remember the first piece?

Hice mi primera obra en 2008, justo después de una operación médica, y cuando miro la situación ahora, me parece divertidísima. Mi primera obra fue en un túnel subterráneo del tranvía (todavía pinto en ese lugar) y nos asustamos mucho por nada. En un momento dado, se acercaba un amigo nuestro, pero no lo sabíamos y solo vimos su silueta en la oscuridad y nos entró el pánico. Empezamos a correr en todas direcciones, que era precisamente lo que no debía hacer después de una intervención médica. Unos días más tarde nos dimos cuenta de la verdad, jaja.

Mi estilo ha cambiado mucho desde entonces. En algún momento me sentí un poco estancado, pero en los últimos años he intentado buscar constantemente nuevas formas, estilos y flujos.

I did my first piece in 2008, right after a medical operation and when I look at the situation now, it was hilarious. My first piece was in an underground tram tunnel (I still paint the spot) and we were so scared for nothing. At some point a friend of ours was coming, but we didn’t know and just saw his silhouette in the dark and the panic came. We started running in all directions, which was exactly the thing I shouldn’t do after a medical intervention. We understood the truth a few days later haha. 

My style has changed a lot since then. At some point I was a bit stuck, but in the last few years I have been trying to constantly search for new shapes, styles and flows.

Una vez más, ¡quiero darte las gracias por la oportunidad y por fijarte en mi estilo! También me gustaría animar a la gente a mantener una actitud positiva, ser amable con los demás y mostrarse abierta. En mi opinión, esta es la mejor manera de mantener una comunidad fuerte y divertida, independientemente del país.

Once again, I would like to thank you for the opportunity and for noticing my style! I would also like to encourage people to stay positive, be good with others and be open. In my opinion this is the best way to keep a community strong and fun no matter the country!.
