I started painting for several reasons. I’ve been drawing since I was a child, and when I discovered graffiti, I fell in love because I could combine what I’d always loved to do with a «game» where only your skills mattered. At that point in my life, graffiti was the key.
Empecé a pintar por varias razones. Dibujo desde que era niño y, cuando descubrí el graffiti, me enamoré porque podía combinar lo que siempre me había gustado hacer con un «juego» en el que solo importaban tus habilidades. En ese momento de mi vida, el graffiti era la clave.
¿De dónde viene tu apodo?
Where does your pseudonym come from?
Mi apodo viene de «Pacman», fue el último de una serie de nombres con los que no me reconocía.
My tag comes from «Pacman», it was the last of a series of names that I didn’t recognize myself in.
¿Qué es lo que más te gusta del graffiti y lo que menos?
What do you like most about graffiti and what do you like least?
Lo que más me gusta del graffiti es que te da una perspectiva diferente del mundo, experiencias que no tendrías en ningún otro sitio y el hecho de que estás haciendo algo que te empuja constantemente a mejorar. Lo que menos me gusta son a menudo las personas que, por su propio ego o por dinero, empañan lo que es una cultura muy fuerte y universal.
What I love most about graffiti is that it gives you a different perspective on the world, experiences you wouldn’t have anywhere else, and the fact that you’re doing something that constantly pushes you to improve. What I like least are often people who, for their own ego or money, tarnish what is a very strong and universal culture.

¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?
Do you remember the first piece?
¡Claro que me acuerdo! Era 2007, botes de spray de la ferretería, una bicicleta, adrenalina y un pequeño bombo que obviamente hizo reír a la gente, pero fue la primera pieza que desencadenó ese bucle infinito de «vale, tengo que hacerlo mejor» que todavía me acompaña hoy en día.
Al recordar la primera pieza, me doy cuenta de que la constante es mi amor por las letras; lo que ha cambiado es mi forma de realzarlas. A lo largo de los años, he querido explotar cualquier elemento gráfico o figurativo para resaltar las letras. Seguir explorando las letras y cómo puedo expresarlas también me permite comprender mejor mi persona y el mundo que me rodea, y por eso siempre estaré agradecido al graffiti.
Of course I remember it! It was 2007, spray cans from the hardware store, a bicycle, adrenaline and a tiny bombing that obviously made people laugh but was the first piece that triggered that infinite loop of «ok, I have to do better» that still accompanies me today.
Looking back on the first piece, I notice that the constant is my love for letters; what has changed is my way of enhancing them. Over the years, I’ve wanted to exploit any graphic or figurative element to highlight the letters. Continuing to explore letters and how I can express them also allows me to better understand myself and the world around me, and for this I will always be grateful to graffiti.
