¿De dónde viene tu apodo?

Where does your pseudonym come from?

Logan viene de mis inicios en el grafiti, inspirado por Wolverine que también era mi personaje de comic favorito. Me gustaba cómo sonaba y como quedaba gráficamente. Barracuda lo añadí al empezar en el tatuaje como una especie de apellido y junto con una linea de camisetas que se llamaba así.

Logan comes from my beginnings in graffiti, inspired by Wolverine who was also my favorite comic book character. I liked how it sounded and how it looked graphically. Barracuda I added it when I started in tattooing as a kind of last name and along with a line of t-shirts that was called that way.

 

 

¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar?

What motivated you to get started painting?

La necesidad de expresarme. Crecí en el Polígono de San Pablo un barrio obrero de Sevilla y desde niño me atrapó el arte y la lustración en general…siempre me gusto dibujar y pintar desde niño. Cuando descubrí lo que era el grafiti fue una explosión de libertad, color y adrenalina que con el tiempo, se volvió parte de mi vida y de quién soy.

The need to express myself. I grew up in San Pablo, a working class neighborhood in Seville and since I was a child I was caught by art and illustration in general… I always liked to draw and paint since I was a kid. When I discovered what graffiti was, it was an explosion of freedom, color and adrenaline that over time, became part of my life and who I am.

¿Qué es lo que más te gusta del graffiti y lo que menos?

What do you like most about graffiti and what do you like least?

Lo que me parece mejor es su libertad, la conexión con su comunidad global, sus reglas no escritas y obviamente que todos vean tu nombre y se reconozca tu trabajo. Lo que menos me gusta , a veces el ego dentro de la escena, aunque eso también forma parte del juego.

What I find best is its freedom, the connection with its global community, its unwritten rules and obviously that everyone sees your name and your work is recognized. What I like the least, sometimes the ego within the scene, although that is also part of the game.

Do you remember the first piece?

Sí, fue en 1989, unas letras “Mc”verdes y un personaje a la derecha todo a plástica y solo el trazo negro a spray.

Yes, it was in 1989, some green “Mc” letters and a character on the right, all in plastic and only the black line in spray paint.
