¿De dónde viene tu apodo?
Where does your pseudonym come from?
Mi nombre real es Laura Devita, pero cuando empecé a pintar en la calle me pareció que necesitaba un nombre más corto, así que escribí mi nombre DEV, para que la gente lo recordara y me llamara más fácilmente.
My name Laura Devita is my real name, but when I started painting on the street I seemed to need a shorter name, so I wrote my name DEV, so that people would remember and call my name more easily.
¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar?
What motivated you to get started painting?
Dibujo desde los 12 años y cuando estaba en la universidad me gustaba dibujar retratos realistas.
En 2021 conocí a unos amigos escritores de graffiti y artistas callejeros en mi ciudad, por aquel entonces todavía era Covid y yo estaba en la universidad terminando mi tesis, no había muchas actividades que hacer en aquella época, así que acabé viéndoles pintar en la calle.
Fue entonces cuando me picó la curiosidad y quise probarlo. En enero de 2023, una de las marcas de aerosoles de Indonesia, Diton King, empezó a apoyarme. Exploré muchas técnicas y colores desde que me apoyaron y empecé a pintar mucho en la calle hasta ahora.
I’ve been drawing since I was 12 y.o and when i’m in college I liked to draw realist portraits.
In 2021 I met graffiti and street art friends in my city, at that time it was still Covid and I was in college finishing my thesis, there weren’t many activities to do at that time, so I ended up watching them paint on the street.
That’s when I got curious and wanted to try it. After making my first work, i’m very happy cuz everyone could see my work on the street, In January 2023, one of the spray cans brand in Indonesia Diton King started to support me, I explored many techniques and colors since they supported me and I started painting on the street a lot until now.

Me encanta crear retratos y personajes femeninos que celebren la fuerza y la creatividad de las mujeres.

Do you remember the first piece?
Recuerdo la primera obra que hice a las 2 de la mañana con mi amiga. Hice un girasol, porque no tenía ni idea de qué pintar, era aleatorio. Después de hacer mi primera obra, empecé a esbozar personajes femeninos para mi siguiente pared.
I remember the first piece I made at 2am with my friend. I made a sunflower, because I had no idea what to paint, it was random. After making my first piece, I started sketching female characters for my next wall.
