¿De dónde viene tu apodo?
Where does your pseudonym come from?
Pues Häcko viene de cuando teníamos 14 o 15 años y buscando un apodo mejor que el que tenía, apareció la famosa frase del Zatu “engánchate al graffiti y no al Jako” y boom ahí estaba, y el Crâne es la forma de decir cráneo en francés. Que me moló la palabra y como se escribe en francés, de algo que siempre e pintado, dibujado y tatuado, y es como un emblema mío .
Well, Häcko comes from when we were 14 or 15 years old and looking for a better nickname than the one I had. Then Zatu’s famous phrase appeared: “Get hooked on graffiti, not Jako”, and boom, there it was. Crâne is the French word for skull. I liked the word and how it’s written in French, something I’ve always painted, drawn and tattooed, and it’s like my emblem.
¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar?
What motivated you to get started painting?
La cultura de la calle, era mi forma de expresarme. Cuando conocí la cultura del HipHop entendí que mi forma de aportar mi granito de arena era así, a través de pintar.
Street culture was my way of expressing myself. When I discovered Hip Hop culture, I realised that painting was my way of doing my bit.
¿Qué es lo que más te gusta del graffiti y lo que menos?
What do you like most about graffiti and what do you like least?
Del graffiti me encanta, pintar, conocer escritores, nuevos lugares, compartir experiencias. Te abre puertas y amistades en todo el mundo. Lo peor, es el Ego y la envidia del escritor, mucha gente tiene un ego muy elevado y envidia de el resto, que si por los spots, o porque a pintado que si con cual o que si con tal, eso hace que este mundillo se corrompa.
I love graffiti, painting, meeting writers, discovering new places, sharing experiences. It opens doors and friendships all over the world. The worst thing is the ego and envy of the writer. Many people have a very big ego and envy others, whether it’s because of the spots, or because they’ve painted this or that, and that corrupts this world.

Muy buena idea, al final funciona desde hace muchos años, han pasado muchísimos escritores muy buenos, y esta genial formar parte de esto.

¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?
Do you remember the first piece?
Pues rondaría el 99, pillamos algún montana, en esa época en mi pueblo era imposible pillarlos, y subíamos a Burgos a comprarlos reuniendo todo lo que teníamos. Decidimos hacer algo más de lo que solíamos hacer con los sprays robados del todo a cien, no era la primera pieza como tal, pero si fue el momento que cambió el juego para nosotros. Nos marcamos unas piezas muy feas con un keko, recuerdo que era de madrugada y fue una experiencia inolvidable.
Well, it would be around 99. We got hold of some Montana spray paint, which was impossible to find in my village at that time, and we went up to Burgos to buy it, gathering everything we had. We decided to do something more than we usually did with the spray cans we stole from the pound shop. It wasn’t the first piece as such, but it was the moment that changed the game for us. We did some really ugly pieces with a character. I remember it was in the early hours of the morning and it was an unforgettable experience.
