¿De dónde viene tu apodo?
Where does your pseudonym come from?
Mi abuela me daba cien pesetas y me decía para que te compres un ‘donus’cuando iba a la escuela. Cuando ella falleció pensé que eran un buen homenaje además todo el mundo reconoce la palabra Donuts y también empecé a dibujarlos en la calle.
My grandmother used to give me a hundred pesetas (money in spain 26 years ago.) and tell me to buy a “donut” on my way to school. When she passed away, I thought it would be a nice way to honor her—plus, everyone knows the word “donut”—so I started drawing them on the street.
¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar?
What motivated you to get started painting?
La posibilidad de llevar mis dibujos a la pared, siempre me gustó dibujar y hacerlo en los muros me pareció increíble. Además de la adrenalina de pintar en la calle tú solo o con colegas y aprenderte la ciudad al dedillo.
The chance to put my drawings on the wall—I’ve always loved drawing, and doing it on walls seemed incredible to me. Plus, there’s the thrill of painting on the street, either alone or with friends, and getting to know the city like the back of your hand.
¿Qué es lo que más te gusta del graffiti y lo que menos?
What do you like most about graffiti and what do you like least?
Me gusta conocer a gente del mundillo y competir contigo mismo cada muro, siempre intentar mejorar el anterior. Viajar y conocer otros escritores y escritoras en otras ciudades y sentirte bien recibido. Odió las multas y cuando me pisan jajaja.
I like meeting people in the scene and challenging myself on every wall, always trying to do better than before. I love traveling and meeting other graffiti artists in different cities and feeling welcome. I hate getting fines and when people step on my work, hahaha.

¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?
Do you remember the first piece?
Empecé a pintar en la cárcel de Carabanchel, que estaba abandonada y era una pasada. Además cada vez que ibas conocías otros artistas.
I started painting at Carabanchel Prison, which was abandoned and totally awesome. Plus, every time you went there, you’d meet other artists.
