¿De dónde viene tu apodo?

Where does your pseudonym come from?

Pues la verdad es que no significa nada. Antes probé con BOR y ZOTRES. Y al final me quedé con IMSE por quedarme con alguno.

To be honest, it does not have a specific meaning. I first tried with BOR and ZOTRES. I end up with IMSE just to choose one.

 

 

 

¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar? 

What motivated you to get started painting?

Lo que más me motivo fue la figura de mi primo mayor, uno de los pioneros en mi ciudad, Art-3/MONOcorp. Eran mediados de los 90. Mi primo vendía pintura en su cuarto y traía fanzines de Bcn. Una noche, su hermano pequeño y yo lo seguimos sin que nos viera, y lo vimos taquear por toda una avenida junto con un colega suyo. Yo era muy joven, y esa mierda me marco para siempre.

What it really motivated me was my older cousin, one of the pioneers in graffiti in my city, Art-3 aka MONOcorp. That was in mid 90’s. My cousin used to sell sprays at home and brought fanzines from Barcelona. One night his little brother and I followed him without him seeing us, and we saw him tagging a whole avenue together with one of his friends. I was young and that shit marked me for life.

 

 

 

¿Cuál es tu estilo?

What is your style?

No sabría catalogarlo, pinto lo que sale. Pero soy un clásico, me encanta el wildstyle aunque intento buscar una progresión, cambiando formas, estructuras, probar efectos… Me gusta mucho dibujar. Y parte de mi estilo y el de mi mujer Saoka está influenciado por los comics, los mangas, las pelis de dibujos y todo ese mundo.

I don’t know how to catalog it; I just paint what it comes out. But I am a classic guy, love the wildstyle, although I try to find an evolution by changing shapes and structures, trying new effects…I love drawing. Part of my style and my wife’s SAOKA style comes from comics, mangas, cartoon movies and all this world.

¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?

Do you remember the first piece?

Me acuerdo de una de las primeras. Al principio elegíamos una palabra entre cinco amigos y entre todos la hacíamos, éramos muy pequeños y sabíamos poco o nada de este juego.

I remember the first ones. With five friends we used to pick a word and paint it together. We were children and didn’t know almost anything about this game.

What is your crew?

DBR es mi crew de toda la vida, B2B y TNS.Y 704 con SAOKA.

DBR is the crew I have been part of all my life, B2B and TNS. And 704 with SAOKA.
