¿De dónde viene tu apodo?

Where does your pseudonyme come from?

Proviene de una película japonesa llamada ASURA. Película ambientada en el Japón feudal del siglo xv. El nombre de Asura también va ligado a los budistas y ese choque en la película entre la paz y la guerra me hizo ver ese nombre especial y decidí empezar a pintar con él.

It comes from a Japanese film called ASURA. A film set in feudal Japan in the 15th century. The name Asura is also linked to the Buddhists and that clash in the film between peace and war made me see that special name and I decided to start painting with it.

 

 

¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar?

What motivated you to get started painting?

En el instituto tenía compañeros que empezaron a pintar y después de clase nos íbamos a ver obras de los graffiteros en las naves y me pareció una buena manera de expresar el arte, algo diferente a lo convencional, algo totalmente de la calle , sin profesores , sin escuelas . Un graffitero es autodidacta y esa manera de crear tu estilo y poder pintar en lugares donde la pared es tu lienzo me llamo mucho la atención.

In high school I had classmates who started to paint and after class we went to see the graffiti artists’ works in the warehouses and I thought it was a good way to express art, something different from the conventional, something totally from the street, without teachers, without schools. A graffiti artist is self-taught and that way of creating your style and being able to paint in places where the wall is your canvas caught my attention.

 

 

 

¿Qué tratas de decir con tus obras?

What do you try to say with your artworks?

Quiero transmitir frescura, que la gente vea un estilo diferente aportando letras japonesas, kekos de series anime y todo lo relacionado con la animación japonesa. Trasmitir que tiempos atrás te llamaban “friki” por identificarte con ese colectivo, a día de hoy pinto mis obras para que vean que también hay arte detrás de colectivo y además arte llamativo.

I want to transmit freshness, that people see a different style by contributing Japanese letters, characters from anime series and everything related to Japanese animation. I want to transmit that in the past you were called «geek» because you identified yourself with that collective. Nowadays I paint my works so that you can see that there is also art behind the collective and also striking art.

 

 

¿Cuál es tu estilo?

What is your style?

Mi estilo es una mezcla entre el lettering japones y el graffiti characters. Letras sencillas acompañadas de tipografía japonesa y un keko de animación manga, por ejemplo la que más empleo es la serie Gundam.

My style is a mix between Japanese lettering and graffiti characters. Simple letters accompanied by Japanese typography and a character of manga animation, for example the one I use most is the series Gundam.

Pienso que siempre es bueno dar a conocer tus obras , que sepan un poco más de ti para acercarte un poco más a los demás y que mejor forma que en una página donde se dedican a presentar artista a escala internacional. Siempre se está agradecido del apoyo de páginas donde mantienen vivo el graffiti.

I think that it is always good to make your work known, that they know a little more about you to bring you a little closer to others and what better way than on a page where they are dedicated to presenting artists on an international scale. What is your crew?

La crew se llama NXL (the Next Level Crew), está integrada por NON (Estilo digital), SENS (Model Pastel), RELIO (Wildstyle), SOUND (Realismos).Es una crew versátil mezclando estilos que en conjunto es otro nivel. De ahí viene el nombre.

The crew is called NXL (the Next Level Crew), it is integrated by NON (Digital Style), SENS (Model Cake), RELIO (Wildstyle), SOUND (Realism). That’s where the name comes from.

El graffiti tiene que seguir avanzando y más ahora que ya no es algo inusual , hoy en día el graffiti está valorado como arte.

Graffiti has to keep moving forward and even more so now that it is no longer something unusual, today graffiti is valued as art.
