Encontré este nombre cuando entré activamente en la cultura Hip Hop, guardé ese nombre porque le tenia cariño durante ese período de mi vida. Este tag no significa nada tan solo me gustó el sonido femenino.
I found this name when I am actively entered to the Hip Hop culture, I kept this name by affection for this period of my life. This tag means nothing I just liked the feminine sound.

¿Qué te motivó para empezar a ser una escritora de graffiti?
What motivated you to get started being a graffiti writer?
Me enamoré del graffiti cuando era joven, hice mi primer boceto con 8 años, más o menos. Cuando era adolescente, solía patinar en el skatepark de mi ciudad, donde había un montón de graffiti y me quedé intrigada y sorprendida al verlos. Entonces, estaba convencida de que el graffiti era lo mío y una gran parte de mi vida. Me enamoré totalmente del graffiti cuando tuve por primera vez un spray en mis manos. Estaba loca por ese arte específico de la calle, tan misterioso y tan salvaje. Empecé a ser mucho más activa en la pared cuando cumplí 18 años, cuando conocí a más escritores. Me acuerdo que mis amigos tenían un nivel mucho más alto que el mío, lo que me motivó mucho. Sólo había unas cuantas escritoras, creo que era importante para mí probarme a mí misma y también probar que las mujeres pueden hacerlo muy bien o incluso mejor que los hombres. Además empecé a bailar breakdance por aquel entonces y esas dos pasiones nunca me han abandonado.
I fell in love with graffiti when I was young, I did my first graffiti sketch at the age of 8 years old, I’d say. When I was a teenager, I used to skate on rollerblades at the skatepark of my city, where there were a lot of graffiti and I was intrigued and amazed by them. Then, I was convinced graffiti will be my thing and a big part of my life. I totally fell in love with graffiti. This is when I had for the very first time a spraycan in my hands. I was crazy about that specific art from the street, so mysterious and so wild. I began to be much more active on the wall at the age of 18, when I met more graffiti writers. Back in the day, my friends had a much better level than me, which motived me a lot. There is only a few female writers, I think it was important for me to prove myself and also prove women can do as good or even better than men. I also started to breakdance at that time and those two passions have never left me.

What do you try to say with your graffiti?
Flow! Mi objetivo es conseguir mi propio estilo. Sólo trato de hacer letras y personajes con flow. Me encanta hacer personajes y letras con movimiento, para que parezcan que están vivos. Trato de hacer tantos personajes como letras. A veces trato de mandar un mensaje, a veces mi mensaje es solo mi propio estilo.
Flava! My goal is to get my own style. I just try to do letters and characters with flow. I love to make characters and letters with movement, to make them look alive. I try to do as much characters as letters. Sometimes I try to send a message, sometimes my message is just my own style.

What is your style?
Me encanta cortar letras con estilo, y formas redondas, además me encanta el estilo salvaje y las pompas. También soy una bgirl así que me encanta el movimiento, y siempre estoy intentando obtener más flow en mis letras. El graffiti proviene de la cultura hip-hop, que es una cultura salvaje, siempre evolucionando. Esto es lo que específicamente me gusta de ella y quiero mostrarlo a lo largo de mi trabajo.
I love cutting letters with flow, and round shapes, then I love wild style and throw up. I am also a bgirl so I love movement, and I am always digging to get more flow in my letters. Graffiti comes from the hip-hop culture, which is a wild culture, always evolving. This is what I specifically like about it and wish to show throughout my work.

¿Te importaria contarnos como es un día normal durante tu semana?
Would you mind telling us how is your normal day during the week?
Me despierto, hago un poco de yoga, voy a trabajar alrededor de las 9 hasta las 5. Después de mi trabajo hago deporte o entreno haciendo breakdance, y paso el resto de mi tiempo con mis amigos, o hago algunos bocetos / cuadros.
I wake up, I do some yoga, I go to work around 9 to 5. After my work I do breakdance training or sport, and I spending the rest of my time with my friends, or I do some sketches/canvas.

Do you remember the first piece?
Empecé a hacer tags en 2001, pero mi primera pieza real fue hecha en 2002. Fue en un skatepark, una pompa morada con puntos blancos … Horrible …
La pintura me goteaba mucho, no controlé mis líneas. Utilicé muchos sprays solamente para pintar un pequeño trozo … Me puse nerviosa y tensa y esperaba que nadie me estuviera viendo. Pero, cuando terminé mi pieza, sentí un sentimiento de orgullo. Había cogido el virus del graffiti …
Durante mis primeros años de graffiti, siempre tuve un poco de presión cuando estaba pintando. Porque no tenía técnica. Ni siquiera sabía que había diferentes boquillas para diferentes líneas. Aprendí poco a poco sobre la movida. Hoy en día, siempre tengo un poco de aprensión cuando empiezo mis primeras líneas en la pared, porque el primer esquema establece el resultado, es la parte más importante de tu pieza … Pero no estoy estresada, me siento mucho más confiada al pasar los años.

The paint flows much, I didn’t control my lines. I used a lot spraycans only for a little piece… I was stressed and I was hoping no one sees me. But, when I finished my piece, I felt a sence of pride.I had caught the graffiti virus…
During my first years of graffiti, I always had a little pressure when I was painting. Because I had no technique. I didn’t even know that there were different caps for different lines. I learned gradually on the ground. Today, I always a have a little apprehension when I start my first lines on wall, because the first outline sets the result, is the more important part of your piece… But I am not stressed out, I feel much more confident over the years.

¿Puedes hablarnos del graffiti en tu ciudad?
Can you talk us about the graffiti in your city?
Soy de Francia pero en realidad vivo en Montreal, hay un montón de buenos escritores y artistas callejeros. Pero la escena de graffiti es más pequeña que la de las ciudades europeas. Hay muchos murales pero siempre veo los mismos nombres, aquí en Montreal. Invierno (largo y frío!) Podría ser una de las razones por qué, o tal vez el precio de los botes, que es bastante caro. La efervescencia es más fuerte por ejemplo en Francia, la escena es mucho más activa allí.
I am from France but I actually live in Montreal, there is a lot of good writers and street artists. But the graffiti scene is smaller than the one in European cities. There is a lot of murals but I always see the same names, here in Montreal. Winter (long and cold!) might be one of the reasons why, or maybe the price of the spraycans, which is quite expensive. The effervescence is stronger for instance in France, the scene is much more active over there.

What is your crew?
NTC es una crew que fundé con mis amigos en Francia, SGX es una crew femenina francesa que fundé en 2006 con Rima, Hope y Forma, CMK es una crew de Chicago y FPC, la primera crew en la que entré cuando comencé en el graffiti. Hoy en día, también soy parte de la crew Zulu Nation.
NTC is a crew I founded with my friends in France, SGX is a French female crew I founded in 2006 with Rima, Hope and Forma, CMK is a crew from Chicago, and FPC, the first crew I entered in when I started graffiti. Nowadays, I am also part of Zulu Nation.

Tengo muchos escritores favoritos, realmente me gustan escritores como Miedo, Sly2, Hombre, Brus, Rosy1, Sider, skore 79, Astus2….

¿Cuál es tu trabajo real?
What is your real job?
Soy directora de una organización la cual es un proyecto que ayuda a los artistas inmigrantes a integrarse en el paisaje artístico de Montreal. Me encantaría vivir sólo del graffiti, pero sólo si pudiera hacer exclusivamente el tipo de graffiti que me encanta. Y no tener que lidiar con contratos no muy interesantes …
I am a project manager for an organization that helps immigrant artists to integrate the artistic Montreal landscape. I would love to live just on graffiti, but only if I can exclusively do the kind of graffiti that I love. And not have to deal with non super interesting contracts…
