¿De dónde viene el tag?
Where does your pseudonime come from?
Suriv viene del virus T de la saga del juego Resident Evil. Estaba obsesionado con ese juego y la idea era infectar la ciudad con mis piezas. Con el tiempo invertí mi tag de Virus a Suriv para hacerla más única. T.bag… bueno, me gusta como queda.
Suriv comes from the T-virus from the Resident Evil saga. I was obsessed with that game and the idea was to infect the city with my pieces. With time I inverted my tag from Virus to Suriv to make it more unique. T.bag… well, I like a good cuppatea lol.
¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar?
What motivated you to get started to paint?
Yo tenía 12 años y uno de mis mejores amigos estaba firmando en su diario escolar y me pareció súper genial, así que empecé a firmar el mío también, inicialmente con frases infantiles al azar como «que le den a la escuela», «anarquía»… ese tipo de mierda. ¡Fue amor a primera vista!
I was 12 and one of my best mates was tagging his school diary and I thought that was super cool, so I started tagging mine too, initially with random childish sentences like «fuck the school», «anarchy».. that kind of bullshit. It was love at first sight!
¿Qué tratas de decir con tus graffitis?
What do you try to say with your graffiti?
Honestamente nada, no hay ningún mensaje detrás de mis piezas, es sólo un TOC, me hace sentir bien y completo, es una terapia y una oportunidad de pasar tiempo con mis amigos también.
Honestly nothing, there’s no message behind my pieces, it’s just an OCD, it makes me feel good and complete, it’s a therapy and a chance to spend time with my friends too.
¿Cuál es tu estilo?
What is your style?
Es una mezcla de todas mis experiencias de vida. Viví en 6 países y me inspiré en todos ellos. Empecé como un bombardero callejero, así que hay mucho bombing en mis producciones. Me gusta pintar rápido, (algunos amigos me llaman Speedy Gonsuriv lol) y no soy un gran fan de los contornos super precisos o de los efectos especiales de astrofat. Me gusta más crudo y auténtico.
It’s a mix of all my life experiences. I lived in 6 countries and I got inspiration from all of them. I started as a street bomber, so there’s a lot of throwie in my productions. I like to paint fast, (some friends call me Speedy Gonsuriv lol) and I am not a big fan of super precise outlines or astrofat special effects. I like it more raw and authentical.

¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?
Do you remember the first piece?
Hice mi primera firma en una pared en el 2000, con mi amigo Delta3, en un túnel cerca de su casa, al final de la tarde. Después de 2 o 3 etiquetas nos sentíamos invencibles y vándalos súper geniales.
I did my first tag on a wall in 2000, with my friend Delta3, in a tunnel close to his house, in a late afternoon. After 2 or 3 tags we felt invincible and super cool vandals.
¿Qué es lo que más te gusta del graffiti que te mantiene haciendolo?
What do you like the most about graffiti that keeps you doing it?
Como dije antes, me hace sentir bien, completo, es algo que tengo que hacer todos los días, como una misión. Si no pinto o dibujo durante una semana me da un poco de pánico.
También me encanta trolear a la gente en Internet con historias desagradables y tontas de Instagram, hashtags y posts. La gente se toma demasiado en serio a veces. Chicos, no somos héroes, sólo dibujamos letras en las paredes, así que dejad de ser gilipollas y reíos.
As I said before, it makes me feel good, complete, it’s something that I have to do every day, like a mission. if I don’t paint or sketch for a week I kinda panic.
I also love to troll people on the internet with nasty, silly Instagram stories, hashtags and posts. People take themselves too seriously sometimes. Guys we’re not heroes, we just draw letters on walls, so stop being dickheads and have a laugh.
