¿De dónde viene tu apodo?

Where does your pseudonym come from?

Mi apodo viene originalmente de Star wars, no tanto por el personaje en sí mismo pero más que todo por el sonido del nombre que llamó mi atención..

My nickname originally comes from Star Wars, not so much because of the character itself, but more because of the sound of the name, which caught my attention.

 

 

¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar?

What motivated you to get started painting?

Fue al ver un documental en la televisión Francesa, era un documental sobre el movimiento Hip hop en París en el cual se veían los 93 mcs haciendo firmas sobre el metro de París , luego en ese mismo documental se veía a”Mode 2” Pintando un mural en un colegio..Luego lo clasicos: los libros “spray can arts” “Subway Art” y la película Style Wars.

It was when I saw a documentary on French television, a documentary about the hip hop movement in Paris, in which you could see the 93 MCs signing their names on the Paris subway. Then, in that same documentary, you could see “Mode 2” painting a mural in a school… Then the classics: the books “Spray Can Arts” and “Subway Art” and the movie Style Wars.

 

 

¿Qué es lo que más te gusta del graffiti y lo que menos?

What do you like most about graffiti and what do you like least?

Lo que más me gusta es la acción.. El solo hecho de pintar.., lo que no me gusta es el no poder seguir pintando tanto como lo quisiera hacer…pero ya con la edad todo se vuelve mas físico y complicado.

What I like most is the action… Just the act of painting… What I don’t like is not being able to paint as much as I would like to… but with age, everything becomes more physical and complicated.

Ya conocía el rincón de las boquillas desde hace mucho tiempo, entonces me parece bien poder compartir mi trabajo contigo.

¿Te acuerdas de la primera pieza?

Do you remember the first piece?

Pues claro, yo pienso que la primera pieza no se debe olvidar! Sobre todo la que uno hace solito sin la ayuda de nadie , la mía fue en Liejas en 1990, la diferencia es que el hacer los trazos al final era en aquel entonces una pesadilla y de hecho en la única foto que me queda de esa pieza termine corrigiendo los trazos con un lapicero directamente sobre la foto… al nivel del estilo pues siempre me ha gustado el wild style seguramente y es eso que disfruto más pintado hoy en día.

Of course, I think the first piece should not be forgotten! Especially the one you do on your own without anyone’s help. Mine was in Liège in 1990. The difference is that drawing the lines at the end was a nightmare back then, and in fact, in the only photo I have left of that piece, I ended up correcting the lines with a pen directly on the photo… In terms of style, I’ve always liked wild style, and that’s what I enjoy painting the most today.
