¿De dónde viene tu apodo?

Where does your pseudonym come from?

Se me ocurrió la firma en 1987, era una palabra que no se había utilizado hasta entonces, antes de Internet, claro está.

I came up with the tag in 1987, it was a word that hadn’t been used at the time-pre internet of corse.

 

¿Qué te motivó para empezar a pintar?

What motivated you to get started painting?

Ver a otros pintar y toda la escena en Perth en ese momento, iba a suceder de cualquier manera.

Watching others paint and the whole scene in perth at the time it was just gonna happen either way.

 

¿Qué es lo que más te gusta del graffiti y lo que menos?

What do you like most about graffiti and what do you like least?

Me gusta la parte creativa de pintar al estilo libre la mayoría de mis obras, rara vez utilizo bocetos, pero si lo hago, me dedico a una obra durante uno o dos días. Me gusta reunir a la gente para hacer jam sessions y pintar grandes muros, ya que eso motiva a la gente, y la motivación hay que compartirla. Además, sacar a la gente de su retiro para pintar siempre es algo bueno… ¿Qué es lo que menos me gusta del graffiti? Probablemente las drogas y la violencia en el graffiti, no es necesario, solo es pintura, nada más.

I like the creative part of painting freestyling most of my pieces , i very rarely use a sketch but if i do im on a piece for a day or two. i like getting people together for jams and pulling off big walls as it motivates people-and motivation needs to get shared and get people out of retirement to paint is always a good thing….what do i like least in graffiti…probably the drugs and viOlence in graffiti its not necessary it’s just paint common.

Como coleccionista de libros y revistas, apoyo todas las formas de publicación, ya que cumplen una función similar a la que tenían antes de la llegada de Internet.

As a book and magazine collecter i encourage all forms of publishment as its as it serves a purpose like it did pre internet.

Do you remember the first piece?

Mi primera obra fue en 1987 y decía «pashion», lo escribí mal, era ilegal por la noche en el paso subterráneo local cerca de mi casa, lo hice con unas latas de pintura que encontré en el cobertizo. El graffiti ha evolucionado mucho desde entonces y la gente ha ido y venido y sí, todo cambia, incluso tus amigos. Tenía 15 años en ese momento y ahora tengo 54.

My first piece was in 1987 it said  «pashion» i spelt it wrong it was illegal at night in the local underpass near my house done with some cans of paint out the shed. graffiti has evolved so much since then and people have come n gone and yes everything changes even ya friends , i was 15 at the time im now 54.

Sigue pintando mucho, dibuja mucho, porque solo eres tan bueno como tu última obra. Y no seas desagradable con la gente, no hay necesidad, la vida es demasiado corta. Ah, y haz tantos trenes como puedas, te encantará ver las fotos cuando llegues a los 54… jajaja.

Keep painting a lot draw a lot as ya only as good as ya last piece . and don’t be shit to people theres no need for it, lifes to short, ohhh and and do as many trains as ya can ya will love looking at the photos when u get to 54…hahahah
