¿Quién es dj one? Who is dj one?

Soy un DJ productor de la ciudad de Barcelona mi especialidad es el Hip Hop y El R&B basicamente, también hago producciones propias, Remixes y algun Mashup ademas de colaborar con diferentes raperos en los scratches de sus albumes ese soy yo jejeje

I´m a DJ and productor from Barcelona and my speciallity is Hip Hop and R&B but I algo do my own productions, Remixes and some Mashup apart of colaborating with different rappers in their albums, that´s me! hahaha.

¿Qué fue lo que te motivó para empezar a ser dj?

What motivated you for start being a Dj?

El motivo fundamental para mi es que pienso que los DJ'S son una parte importante dentro del mundo del Hip Hop.

Como todos sabéis hace años no teníamos la facilidad que hay ahora para conseguir música gracias a internet, el hecho de que, el DJ siempre fuera el que innovaba, el que descubría temas y más temas, el que le decía a sus colegas escuchad esto que es muy bueno, también el ir a fiestas y ver a la gente vibrar con la música que estaba sonando y todo gracias a ese loco que estaba ahí en la cabina con los platos yo veía eso y decía buff! yo tengo que estar ahí jaja todo eso me motivo para empezar a pinchar y a día de hoy 14 años después me enorgullezco de haber conseguido más o menos mi sueño. pero esto no me impide seguir teniendo la misma motivación o más.

The principal reason is that I think Dj´s are an important part on the Hip Hop world.

As everyone knows, a few years ago we hadn´t had the facilities we have today for getting the music, principally because of the internet. The fact was that the DJ was the one who innovate and discovered songs and songs, the one who told their friends "hey listen to that, it´s really good", and also going to the partys and watching all the people vibrating with the music and all because of that crazy guy who was there behind the dishes. When I saw all that things I thought "I have to be there", and that motivated me for starting on the Dj world. Nowadays, 14 years later, I´m proud to have achieved more less my dream, but this doesn´t make me felling less motivation than the first day.

Me pareció una idea genial he disfrutado mucho haciendo este trabajo y estoy muy contento con el resultado.

It seemed to me a great idea, I´ve enjoyed a lot by doing this work and I´m very happy with the result.

DJ-ONE - El Rincon de Las Boquillas Mixtape

Para los que todavía no han escuchado la mixtape que nos has dedicado ¿De que trata la mixtape?

For those who hasn´t listened the mixtape, what is the mixtape about?

Esta partida en dos partes una que refleja la época en la que el Hip Hop empezaba a darse a conocer en el mundo, por ejemplo The Message o rapoers delight y otra basada en los 90's que fue una época en la que el hip hop evoluciono su sonido con temas como el Fullclip de Gangstarr entre otros eso es lo que se encontrara la gente al escuchar la Mixtape.

It´s divided on two parts. One reflicts the times when Hip Hop was starting to be known in the world, for example "The message" or "Rappers delight", and other based on 90´s, which was the times when Hip Hop envolver it´s sound, with songs like "Fullclip" of Gangstarr for example. That´s wath people will find when listening the Mixtape.

¿Qué es lo que a dj one le gusta escuchar?

 What music does Dj One like to listen?

Principalmente todo tipo de música negra, Rap, R&B, Soul, Funk, últimamente escucho también el Crunk y algo de Mean stream  los nuevos sonidos que llegan me llaman mucho la atención.

Mainly any king of black music, Rap, R&B, Soul, Funk and letela I´m listening Crunk and some Main stream and new sounds thar really call my atention.

¿Nos podrías hablar cómo haces las mixtapes?

Would you mind speaking about do you do the mixtapes?

Primero de todo hago una selección de temas que me inspiran, después empiezo a pensar en como mezclarlos entre sí voy grabando por partes y de vez en cuando entre mezcla y mezcla me gusta meter algún remix creado por mi o alguna frase de una película o documental siempre intento que todo suene en armonía y cuando consigo eso ya tengo la mixtape hecha.

First of all I do a selection of songs that inspire me, then I start thinking about how to mix them and I star recording it part by part. Sometimes I like to introduce some remix created by me or some frases form a film or documental I like. I always try to make everything sound on harmony, and when I get that, I´ve got the Mixtape.

Y para acabar ¿Algo que quieras decir?

And to finish something you want to say?

Lo único que quiero decir  es que el Hip Hop no es competición es hermandad y todos los que nos dedicamos a el tenemos que seguir haciendolo crecer día a día.

The only thing I´d like to say is that Hip Hop isn´t a competition, it´s a brotherhood and all of us involved on it dedicate ourselves to make it grow day a day.
