Why is your tag Ack?

Es la abreviatura de acklaix, que era mi firma de cuando era chapurrillo, que a su vez venia de Acclaim (compañía de videojuegos del único videojuego al que he estado adicto, Tony Hawk). En las piezas cortas pongo Ack y en las que tengo mas hueco o más tiempo, Azeka.

It's the shortened version of Acklaix, my signature when i was a kid, which comes from Acclaim (a videogame company which made the only game that i've been adict, Tony Hawk). In the shortened pieces i sign as Ack, and in the longer ones, or when i have more time, Azeka.

What made you take a spray can and start painting on the streets?

El rotulador permanente gordo de los veinte duros se me quedaba pequeño.

The fat permanent marker of one euro was too small for me.

Graffiti .... Quantity or Quality?

Prefiero 4 piezones en mi álbum, antes que 400 piezas mal hechas.

I prefer 4 awesome pieces on my album, instead of 400 bad pieces.

¿Piensas que la sociedad acepta el graffiti?

Do you think that society accepts the graffiti?

La sociedad acepta los dibujos en las paredes permitidas. Yo no podría vivir en un mundo en el que no veas un tag en la calle. Tampoco creo que pudiera vivir en una sociedad que aceptara el graffiti al 100% y todo estuviera reventado, no limpiaran las calles, ni los vagones. Creo que se perdería la esencia. Para mi está bien como esta.

Society accepts designs in the allowed walls. I could not live in a world where you don't see a tag in the street. I don't believe I could live neither in a society that accepts graffiti on a 100% and everything were filled, where the streets won't be cleaned, nor the wagons. I think that the essence will be lost. It's okay in my opinion.

¿Dónde te gustaría pintar?

Where do you like to paint?

Me gustaría pintar en La Casa Blanca un flopeo solo marcado con sombra estrecha con un hardcore negro, a fatcap, en el despacho oval, reventarlo a firmas, revolver algunos papeles y verle la cara al Obama.

I would like to paint in The White House a throw up just with a narrow shadow with a hardcore black, with fatcap, in the oval room, fill it with tags, shuffle some papers and watch Obama's face.

¿Qué te parece la idea de mostrar tus graffitis en esta web como es “elrincondelasboquillas.com” para que la gente pueda ver lo que haces?

What do you think about the idea of showing your art in this web as “elrincondelasboquillas.com”to let people know about you?

Me parece bien, nunca he sido famoso ni nada por el estilo, y la verdad, me la trae al fresco serlo. Solo que al igual que me gusta ver lo que pinta un tio de un pueblo de Dinamarca, por ejemplo, y que si no lo viera en fancines, libros o internet, no tendría la oportunidad de ver una obra que quizas me aporte algo, satisfacción, asco, adrenalina, repulsión… (tantas sensaciones que da el graffiti), también me gusta que otros writers vean lo que yo hago.

It's okay, i've never been famous or anything like that, and sincerely, i don't care. It's just that I like to see the paintings of a Denmark guy, for example, and if i don't see it on fanzines, books or internet, i would not have the oportunity of seeing a work that maybe gives me something: satisfaction, disgust, adredaline, repulsion... (all those sensations given by graffiti), as i like other painters watching my works.

El graffiti SI es HipHop.

Las plantillas y el pincel no son graffiti.

Copiar es engañarte a ti mismo, porque la gente tiene ojos.

Iniciarse en la escuela de arte es un mal primer paso.

No experimentar la sensación de pintar tren es un error.

Pintar si te llevan de la mano es mu fácil.

Ser un chivato o un traicionero te va a dejar solo.

No mear en el tercer rail.

Stencil and brushes are not graffiti.

Copying it's just deceive oneself, because people have eyes.

Joining in the art school it's a bad first step.
